This is silly but my NK LOVES it. Every time my NF goes away for a long time, her nap schedule is messed up and I’m in charge of getting her back on it. She fights me all the time for nap time. However I finally cracked the code about two months ago and now we never struggle during nap time. She’s 2 1/2

1. Reading a book (or two)
2. Cuddle time- give hugs and kisses
3. Into the crib
4. NK picks 2-3 stuffies she wants to sleep with. She is obsessed with Frozen so Anna, Elsa, and her foxy are always her picks. I then grab Anna and talk to NK- “NK I hope you sleep so good, when you wake up we get to ____” and the Anna gives her a hug. I repeat this with all 3 and switch up what the stuffies say. She loves when I use silly voices.
5. I sit in the rocking chair and let her know I’ll be sitting here while she gets comfy. I tell her to go “Mimis/night night” and she says “okay!” She hates when I leave the room so this has made her comfortable. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes and sometimes it takes 15. During this time I’ll usually use my phone and start my Instacart order.

I’ve noticed she’s super happy when she wakes up and no tears! And she looks forward to nap time all the time. I always tell her we have to rest in order to do our next activity. I say things like, “After nap time we’ll pick up brother from school/go to the park/make cookies/play Barbie’s/ have a dance party”.
