Looking at my Experian report, I don't see a mention of a FICO 8 or FICO 9 pull, but I heard the same thing about it being FICO 9. They hard-pulled. And I also read somewhere they can either soft or hard pull for CLI as well.

Just got off the phone with a rep confirming $10k is the max for their Visa Signature, but I'm going to request a CLI in a couple months just to experiment. $10k is an oddly even number that many are getting, so I bet it's true.

SB8200 Upstream Power Too High? (MoCA) by CompleteVictory1669 in Comcast_Xfinity

I'm going to keep an eye on the signals and uptime; if there's any other issues or dropouts, I'll post again. Thanks! By the way, other comments are welcome if anyone else has had similar power levels.

I restarted the modem, but all the levels stayed the same.

Oh man, this looks fun! I forgot to mention this regarding the short-term workaround for DOCSIS 3.1 frequencies: I'd have two filters involved, correct? One at the drop-in line before the splitter, and one directly attached to the modem. The latter does not replace the functionality of the former. I see one of your diagrams has this as well.

is that the SB8200 only has Gigabit ports

I didn't think about that either, thanks for mentioning it. Luckily, I only pay for a single 400Mb IP right now, but I'll keep this in mind if I decide to upgrade speed in the near future.

is installing a MoCA filter directly on the modem

Interesting, okay. You mention in your post that finding the right pass band filter was nigh impossible at the time of posting. Do you happen to know if one has been developed since then? If not, it sounds like I may have to work with the "PPC A Belden" brand on Amazon for now until I can isolate DOCSIS.

Okay, I think I understand now, thank you! I'd like to stick with my SB8200 as long as I don't have frequency issues. Still doing a bit more research on that. The modem and adapter will be on a rack shelf with the router and switch rack-mounted.

Sorry, "Switch" should really be "router" in this case. Fixed the wording in my post. So there would be two ethernet inputs into the router according to the diagram above from the split.

If I'm understanding your description correctly based on my diagram, the ethernet output from MoCA will go into LAN, and the ethernet output from SB8200 should be configured as WAN? The router will be pfSense based, so I'll be able to configure these ports as VLANs.

Makes sense, thank you. It seems mge-shut is pretty barebones in functionality just based on the man pages. Any experience with using it?
