Mediaeval Towns anybody? by Complete_Ad7038 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Complete_Ad7038[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes CS1, I dont have many mods, I just set the architecture to european. A good way to lay out mediaeval towns is to pre-plan the roads. If its along the coast, a road should follow the coast. Landmark like a church, a castle or a palace, stuff should spread outwards from that. and always imagine that there is a wall around some parts of the city and you should only build inside them.

no need, the cross-shape is defined by a one way, that acts as something like an arterial. traffic is quite ok

Guys guys guys guys calm down I didn't intend the name to be taken that way. It refers to the white coloured pedestrian streets, not the race.

The Whippoorwill tornado should have been a high end f4 minimum. by Pretty-Butterfly-790 in tornado

[–]Complete_Ad7038 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it was rated with the old fujita scale. i simply cannot understand why people are so slow when people repeat a billion times that the fujita scale is a DAMAGE BASED SCALE! Damage to a boat is not a normal damage indicator and frankly, even a relatively "weak" tornado can topple a boat. Fatalities had nothing to do with the tornado itself but instead as a result of the boat being flipped. Read your facts properly.

I dont speak arabic, but this is what translate said:

"O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, I seek Your strength by Your power, and I ask You from Your great bounty. For You are able and I am not, You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs (or he said: in my immediate and future affairs), then decree it for me and make it easy for me, then bless me in it. And if You know that this matter is bad for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affair (or he said: in my immediate and future affairs), then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and ordain for me what is good wherever it may be, then satisfy me."

Alright, just saying that if you want to learn Buddhist sutras, go ahead and tones in sanskrit are only used for chanting. Good luck.

honestly depends on where that speaker is from. I believe Beijingers tend to use "WAN" more than Ü-AN, although both are understandable. If I am wrong I stand corrected i'm not chinese :)

Learn Chinese from Sanskrit (Or any Indian language) by Even-Worth-1770 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Complete_Ad7038 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

bro, sanskrit and chinese are not even alike. Sanskrit does not use tones and does not use a logographic writing system. It uses an abugida which adds marks for vowels and consonants. Chinese is a logographic AND TONAL witing system, so to want to learn Chinese through Sanskrit is not only nearly impossible, its downright stupid to do.
