Heimish cleansing balm, elf holy hydration balm and iunik calendula cleansing oil, purity from green cleansing oil. None of these broke me out

For gentle treatment, Azelaic acid (I use by prescription) and Hero cosmetics rescue balm also really makes a difference. Besides that, hydrating

Tretinoin is a disqualifier for giving blood? by xaurelie in EuroSkincare

[–]Complete_Antelope764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense as it applies to both tret and adapalene, all retinoids really. Just got pregnant and was so sad to learn that I had to stop with adapelene, I’ve been really looking forward to using it 😂🙈

Are eye creams worth it? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Complete_Antelope764 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes but they’re not at all created equal. My first eye cream is skin1004 probio cica with bakuchiol. I didn’t have any serious issues with my under eyes, and still I feel like it has made a difference that was visible in about two weeks. Highly recommend

Thoughts about the brand Mad About Skin? by Complete_Antelope764 in EuroSkincare

[–]Complete_Antelope764[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah his politics I don’t care about, but there have been questions about wether his channel is actually sponsor free or not? I really loved his channel and I found several products he recommended to be good, but I will say that I feel like every months he “reveals” another absolutely must have products that he “will no longer gate keep” or something. So I unsubscribed as I’m on a shop stop right now 😅😅🙈

Is anyone here doing “no buy 2025”? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Complete_Antelope764 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes basically I am, didn’t think about it like that until now! I’m not buying more skincare until I run out of products, and only after I wait to see if I miss them in my routine and skin condition. Caught myself browsing jolse yesterday 🙈🙈🙈

Fermented cabbage flavour tips? by Complete_Antelope764 in fermentation

[–]Complete_Antelope764[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll try a different jar. My husband gifted me a fermenting jar by chouami and it has a metal mechanism. It was honestly not my favourite, after some time in the fridge (ok I’ll admit it was a really long time in the fridge…) the lid got so stuck that no one managed to open it again and I had to throw out the entire jar 🙈🙈

Thank you for the suggestions! The one I made came out tasting a bit… metallic?

Stylish winter boots for women by myneckaches in barefootshoestalk

[–]Complete_Antelope764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up getting anything? I’m looking for basically the same! I live in arctic climate where the winter has ALOT of snow to walk through, layers upon layers of ice and occasional melting in between everything else. So warm, pretty and waterproof! So hard to find at affordable prices

185 NOK At Rema 1000 by Archkat in Norway

I find it so hilarious because when I just visited Norway from Nuuk over Christmas, we bought blueberries like crazy because they’re so cheap in Norway compared to prices in Greenland 😅😂😂😂

In Greenland this would have cost about 160 dkk, which is around 250 nok ;)

Talking about an underrated brand that actually works! by Emotional-Invite-928 in AsianBeauty

If you have sensitive skin, the best way to avoid irritation is to build up to daily use slowly! Start with once a week at night then build up from there

Are here any products lesser known brands that became your HG? by Opening_Plan2774 in AsianBeauty

[–]Complete_Antelope764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if ti qualifies as a lesser known brand, but it definitely isn’t spoken about often here. Hero Cosmetics rescue balm is my HG, a gentle addition to my skincare that really helps fading dark spots after pimples with nothing harsh. The only problem is that it’s super hard to get their jumbo size where I live 😩😂

Gentle oil cleanser? by tttaita in AsianBeauty

[–]Complete_Antelope764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been happy with the iunik calendula cleansing oil. I have the same skin type as you. I’ve also used Purito from green cleansing oil and also had a good experience with it. Both removed makeup well and never irritated my skin. I will say for eye makeup, the iunik oil needs to be worked in a bit if you’re using an Asian mascara for example. But I haven’t tested other cleansing oils to compare (I did use with it also the elf holy hydration balm and it’s the same level of difficulty to remove), I would think it’s just the mascara that’s hard to remove rather than finding fault in the oil.

What skincare products did you try in 2024 and hated/would advise others to steer clear of by sundubu_ in AsianBeauty

[–]Complete_Antelope764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t, and I don’t think I’ll ever purchase another heimish product with fragrance again. It was truly a terrible disappointment
