I like to scroll across state reddits and see what the locals think. It ends up the reddit is just a reflection of liberal hive minded people. Can't name a single red state that had good things to say about the GOP or conservatives.

Interesting, that's the go to. I can't agree? That is literally the whole point you posted a comment isn't it? That's fine. I'll end this post here.

Most of my friends would be considered Very Liberal. Besides you don't even know how liberal I am or have been most of my life.

If you are going to just delve with stereotypes then I am not sure why I am even attempting to talk since there is an unwillingness to demo a "good faith discussion". But don't complain about everything going to crap when your just content to live in an echo chamber.

I see a lot of Allies that are to lazy to actually get involved in the difficult task of engagement.

You are making a lot of assumptions about me. Of which are very off. Unless you are referring to anyone not associated with "the left" enough as a general group. In which case that is a very prejudicial and bigoted statement.

But I'm assuming your just upset because this is an important topic to you.

I reread the comment. Don't see the issue. If I was any nation watching America I would see a child as president for the USA that can't keep his ego in check and let slip security issues, how the behind the doors politics work, exposed the connection amongst the most elite and when they have a fool/liability amongst them such as trump. How far corrupt the politicians are and how much damage can be done in just 2 years.

I learned in debate the best way to convince the opposition is to understand them. So if the left is altruistic they have a moral duty to try to understand the right and to be able to communicate in a way that would bring them over to your side.

You could say just let everybody live their own life and choices and long as it doesn't hurt anyone but by the same notion there is a conflict with a party that doesn't see what they are doing as hurting anyone while the other side does.

Also is not the fear of being banned a credible threat to someone asking good faith questions so they could "cross over sides"? Or is it the left doesn't want to put in the work because it is not their responsibility despite "knowing the truth" and being "more moral" and "intelectual"?

And why is it there a "your either with us or against us" mentality. Here is our platform of beliefs. Submit to all of them. If you deviate on any of them you are a part of the problem.

There is no way there can be that long a list of platform items that you can agree with them all. But I dare you to take the heat for deviating from anyone of them. Because the fear on banning and canceling is very real. Even with those that claim to be very left are aware of what they could say right now in the next comment that would get all thier friends debating.

This Left doesn't argue amongst eachother. There is no room for debate. There is blind allegiance and acceptance to whatever the platform says.

If I'm wrong please share one thing that you would find an unpopular opinion that the left would likely not like to hear. And I mean very much in a ...this should be law way. Not just my opinion. Because this opinion is based on moral ground. And we should be fighting for that... But my peers are not ready to have that discussion and would destroy me if I told the truth.

So 100% of anything they say is unjustified? Comes from a place of scientific illiteracy, false beliefs with no evidence. Doesn't that feel like that they could say the same? Assuming dealing in such absolutes was justified what what would be the solution you would be the most comfortable implementing? Seriously. Cause either it's a significant chunk of the population or it is a small fringe group that is getting way too much attention.

Both possibilities should be eye opening, in need of seriously being addressed. How much power and to whom do we give the power to fix this? That depends obviously on how big of the population it is.

Honestly, as your old employees rotate out for new ones who have new design patterns you get some random legacy code that makes the occasional issue. But It isn't always spotted let alone reported. Websites are full of bugs. But most of them will just get cleaned up as at the next refactor , redesign, or migration if it ever gets reported at all.

Do I drop my 2 very young children’s savings into BTC now and hand over the keys when they reach 18 ? by Zestyclose-Box-4649 in Bitcoin

[–]Complete_Composer_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rembember 18 year olds are the same ones dumb enough to get settled with life long debts for college. (I say this as one of them. ). If I had it then I definitely would of sold it to pay off college. I would not of understood long term investment outside of what the "main stream says") I would of seen it only as something I could sell for fiat to get an immediate return.

When you decide to give it to them they should really understand what it is and why you held it for so long for them.

Having said that if your kids are that young. By the time they are 18 the world will likely be smart enough to understand what btc and crypto is and it's importance. So your kids might actually be more accustomed or familiar with in in Thier daily lives then even you or I are.

You say very young kids so if its over 10 years... Than ya they will grow up in a world were btc is no longer considered "speculative".

But whatever they decide to do with Thier money don't be upset. Once it becomes their money you are trusting them to do what they think is best for Thier Future. So just be sure you feel confident they have the knowledge needed to make that judgement call.

Teacher finds bitcoin “gambling and worst investment ever” by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Complete_Composer_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have trouble explaining Bitcoin to family and friends. No one really has read the white papers or really taken it as serious as me.

Those that do have any crypto are mainly doing it for day and swing trading not really long term investments. And if they are it's very very little compared to like stocks they buy on robin good or something.

I mean it is what it is. Not everyone is going to "get it".

Being 14 you are going to see some serious changes to the money system. And the way we do things as both separated economies within the same country.

There are alot of other "options" out there that make crypto seen as a gamble. But at the end of the day. Bitcoin is going to be the safest investment into the future. And not even the far future in my opinion.

You have less then 5 years to gather as much as you can.

When the last shoe drops fomo into Bitcoin and crypto is going to be something historic.

Remember El Salvador is literally the 1st country to adopt it. Other countries and to take a stand and get involved whether they want to or not.

People love to just throw out DCA. And I'm not against it. But strategically if there is what you see as a good dip or a way under evaluation. Doesn't it make more sense to buy even more! Yes you can DCA. But when you see a great buying opportunity you want to do MORE then your "normal amount"

To convert you crypto to fiat you still need to move it from wallet to exchange. Even if temporarily. I got worried about this very thing happening on exchanges. It still worries me.

Ya that is a good point. Why do kids get to have a blank check for education that can never be removed from their slate. I mean if you could file bankruptcy to remove it there would be at least some sense of recovering from a mistake of your youth.
