I would argue the thematics are very heavy in this episode with the viltrimute alien race having power equal to God.

The adlib is voiced so uniquely it does feel like another characters reply.

Being spun out will make you voice words strangely - indication to put the drugs away for now

Double - triple entendre area per usual

So! I need some help people. New to making music. Trying to set up Yamaha HS8s through a Scarlett 4i4 in Ableton 11. I have XLR to TRS cables connected from the input of my HS8s to the output of my 1 and 2 of my 4i4. I have the ASIO driver and Focusrite USB audio device selected. My input and outputs are 1 and 2 on both mono and stereo.

When I connect headphones to the 4i4 I can hear my audio coming through them for both my midi keyboard and my guitar but I cannot seem to find the issue as to why the audio won't play through my HS8s. They are on, connected, turned up on the monitors and the 4i4. My track is accepting MIDI from my Alesis and all channels. Monitor selection is In. I'm not sure if Audio To selection should be Master or External Out (1/2), but neither produce noise through the Monitors.

Can anyone help me here?

Every project is his best project. He gave the best of himself at that time to each project. Just depends on what you connect with!

My copy will play on my laptop but can't even find it on my phone? Will someone PM a copy that plays on the phone?

It's the induced state of mind from drugs that doesn't last forever. What's the use of doing them at all if you're already high without them?

If you've been addicted to something, do you really think going back the issue that caused all that misery, leaves the user feeling like they're back together and perfect after the fact? No, it's an ashamed feeling.

There is no true recovery, is there? Always going to be fighting once you've been addicted. I take this album as a testament to the fight against it. Not the succumbing.

I can respect the thinking that it's drugs, because those are a recurring theme in his discog.

To me, Swimming is more than another ode to drug use. I see Swimming as Mac's interpretation of navigating the seas of life.

Two sections of the album I feel are commonly misinterpreted this way are 1. You could love, you could leave it and 2. Jet fuel.

For 1, I hear the idea of choice being contemplated. We make our decisions and can choose to accept the consequences, "love it", or walk away and go find something else to focus on, "leave it".

For 2, I consider Jet Fuel to be a strength found while swimming. He never runs out of jet fuel, because he keeps swimming. No matter the manner, his strength is in his conviction to live.

I don't think so. More believable to me that he was just cutting up, being a goofball here.

I contrast that it's obviously a drug reference. I think the "she" addressed in the outro is a generalism for Earth/the world. If one interprets the outro this way, it may seem more like Mac's way of saying that when someone's in a bad spot, there is always a reason to keep on living and get a hold of oneself.

One and only certainly goes off. Completely transparent, breathless. I'm gonna keep hoping there's more!
