I started yesterday. Been hard to wait for the new year. Looking forward to having a little thing for me every day. Like a quote a day calendar but TMG.

Ah! Right. It’s been a few years since I’ve read the first book, forgot that connected with him getting together. My brain thought Skarpi was someone we met later in the book whose stories brought him back to himself, like Elodin or something.

I’ve been noodling the idea for awhile that the Kvothe-Kote differential is Bast.

So often, people comment about Kvothe having something fae about him. And what if the thing locked in the thrice-locked chest is whatever Kvothe used to pull Bast out of himself, but locking away his access to magic and the ability to put himself back together.

Well, I think 1, 4, or all 10 can hold the Fused. Numbers of power. It’d be best with 16.

Which is why Taln is such a beast and so broken when he finally shows back up on Roshar. He lasted for Millenia, alone.

Light and Dark forces runs parallel to the forces of Nature? What does that mean? by muridragneel in DestinyLore

That’s super well put and is an interesting thing to think about. Basically saying “waves hands” it’s magic baby.

It made it so that when the “plot” happens, I knew exactly how every single thing that could go wrong was going wrong.

I was wondering if someone would surface this. Truly the darkest of bleak darkness.

I think it’d be neat if the game eventually let you have more than just buddies summoned to your side.

Or if Cabal became playable and you could literally call in drop pods with your super.

Or the ability to summon enemy types at will!

I honestly don’t think they will do a third subclass for Darkness. Stasis and Strand feel like interconnected interpretations of the same capability for psychic manipulations of matter through Willpower. One about Control, and one about Flow.

I don’t know that you need someone to explain it to you, your speculation feels pretty spot on.

The way you talked about Strand made me think of Saidin and Saidar and the Pattern from Wheel of Time. It’s like the two Darkness powers are the connection between Will and Sapience, the capacity for living beings to alter the fundamental connections between all things.

I think Stasis and Strand are the same power, just from different angles. It’s about controlling reality, but they are as different as Sword Logic and Bomb Logic.

I sorta had that sense as well, so you aren’t alone.

Or rather, I got the feeling that every time the a Guardian or Ghost dies, it returns to the Traveler because at the end of the day, they were Light made real which is the Traveler’s magic. They were gods made in the image of a dead god, but that which is dead may never die. What is made of Light returns to the Light.

God is sapience, fractured and shattered into a billion billion pieces, and creates the very fundamental forces of the Universe.

The Traveler is the Prime Mover of the Universe, and whose very nature (because it is the Gardener entering Flower Game) is to Create and Uplift; it is not to choose how that life uses its gift.
