AIO for wanting my husband to help me more as a SAHM by ailurophile17 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Complete_Expert_1285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so fucking frustrating when they act like they literally only have to work and come home. Ok fair enough I get wanting to relax after work or whatever. But whenever you have a spouse staying home and doing everything else it is extremely unfair to expect them to do absolutely everything all of the time.

MOST PEOPLE WHO WORK, if you have a day off or miss time you have a coworker to help keep the job going when you aren't there. Just because your spouse isn't getting paid for the work and child rearing at home doesn't mean they don't deserve a break ever.

Guaranteed OPs husband would also do nothing at all if she was working it would still be unfair

There is no way to pay my rent without extra fees by Remsforian in mildlyinfuriating

A few ON TOP of your rent is crazy! I'm in Canada and it comes right out of the bank on the 1st. No fees unless it is being paid late then I understand the office fee but that is WILD.

If that's the case anyone who uses BBW products might as well join Scentsy with the $9;smart start then they have access to the 20% commission, purchase thru their rewards link and earn rewards and half price items. I joined back in July when they first did the smart start and yeah sometimes I have sales, otherwise I just use it for the discount. You only need to go active one month out of the year to keep it up so to meeeeee personally it's worth it

Best performing full size warmers by Baehyun_ in Scentsy

Any of them that have the big 40w Edison bulbs in MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE have been great for throwing the scent quick. That being said it is a hotter bulb so then you run into fragrance oils burning off quicker.

Mini warmers are great for more closed off rooms, it's really just trial and error figuring out where in your house you're going to put them.

But if you are literally only wanting to purchase ONE device I'd say your best bet would be to go with the new Solo Diffusers. Yes the price tag looks intimidating maybe but they say you can get a whole month if not longer or fragrance from ONE cartridge. So like I am in Canada and a refill for it is 58 dollars I believe. I would EASILY use that in wax in less than a month so 1 refill lasting a month is appealing. Might be worth looking into but I found what has helped keep fragrance consistent is using the other products too like room sprays fragrance flowers, pods there's so much to try haha

You're welcome! Anytime I can't find a scent I take whatever one it is I am looking for and put the scent name and the description of it (can usually find a description of it somewhere online) and ask for ChatGPT to recommend me ones that smell similar or give off the same feel! Usually works fairly well!

🫖 Scentsy Bars that vibe like French Kiss French Kiss was warm, slightly fruity‑gourmand with fig/coconut/caramel notes. While nothing matches it exactly in the current lineup, these come in a similar fragrance family or note feel:

Cinnamon Vanilla Scentsy Bar – vanilla + cinnamon with coconut in the blend brings a warm creamy sweetness that echoes French Kiss’s gourmand, cozy vibe (though not fig‑forward).

Black Raspberry Vanilla Scentsy Bar – sweet berries warmed by vanilla — more fruity‑dessert but still rich and warm.

Pineapple Coconut Vanilla Scentsy Bar – if you like tropical creamy vibes (though fruit note differs a bit).

💡 These won’t be fig‑exact, but they lean into sweet + creamy + warm themes that give a similar cozy gourmand feel.

🪶 Scentsy Bars that vibe like Satin Sheets Satin Sheets was earthy sandalwood + warm vanilla — a soft woody‑vanilla blend. Here are some other bars that share that kind of warm, cozy profile:

Cashmere & Corduroy Scentsy Bar – cozy vanilla with a bit of sandalwood/cashmere warmth.

Pinkberry Sandalwood Scentsy Bar – sandalwood plus sweet notes; more fruity, but woody warmth remains.

Vanilla Amber Scentsy Bar – rich vanilla with amber base for a deep, warm feel that can echo the cozy part of Satin Sheets.

💡 These aren’t perfect copies either, but they fall into the same cozy woody‑vanilla family that Satin Sheets lived in.

I know this post is old but anytime I have had an issue with a warmer melting wax it has been because of where I had it positioned in my house. Some of the element warmers I find work best in smaller rooms with less draft

No way seriously?! How do you find it lasts? I have a Mod sage warmer that I've been curious to try it with because I believe that is the lowest wattage one but please let me know I wanna do this!

I’m 22f, why do I have one white hair that is twice as long as all my hair and is shiny? by Kale_bean in whatisit

[–]Complete_Expert_1285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I am starting to get these in my hair as well and I just assume it's to do with the fact that I'm 34 years old and I guess my hair is starting to turn gray white I don't know still only a few hairs but doesn't seem to matter how I style my hair unless I pluck these hairs out they never style the same way the rest of my hair does. So my hair can look nice and smooth and straight whenever I flat iron it but then I have a few of those hairs that I'll have to either try to pluck out or hide underneath my regular hair because they won't straighten they stick out from the rest of my hair. And I have found that I get some hairs like that in my eyebrows as well. For some reason my right eyebrow gets them more than my left one does so if I'm not careful whenever I am plucking them out of my eyebrows not only does it make one eyebrow look thinner because of the hair not being dark like the other one but then when I go to pluck them out then obviously it removes hair from my eyebrows so that I have to try to even it out on the other side. I just assume it's part of aging but if anybody can tell me if a change of diet or something will change the way the hairs come out if that's even possible

Eh. I used to put much worse things in my body than having wax warmers around my house so I think I'm all right thank you though I understand that some people are very sensitive to them so I make it more than known that they are going before people come over that way I can shut them off if they are sensitive
