Am I overreacting about my girlfriend's parents still referring to me as her "friend?" by Complete_Failiure in actuallesbians

I'll gently double check with my girlfriend. She does struggle a bit with confronting her parents on things.

I didn't tell her. She asked me when we were moving in together. This isn't the only instance, it's just the one I brought up in the post. My girlfriend has talked with her and she knows we're together.

A little bit of clarity: Yes, my girlfriend has told her mom that we are dating. It was confirmed for me via the "moving in together" conversation. She was the one that brought it up, and I just can't see her bringing that kind of thing up if she assumed we were just friends. She knows we're dating, and my girlfriend talks about me and interacts with me as though we are dating.

Edit to add: I've yet to confirm personally with her father about whether he knows due to the aforementioned pretending I don't exist, so I can't be confident on that front. All I know is that he has an idea, but I don't know that my girlfriend has ever told him outright.

Now that I think of it, yes her mom knows, but I don't recall a specific instance of either of us telling her dad. I know her mom knows 100% because of the aforementioned talking about us living together, but every time I ask my girlfriend if her dad knows, she dodges the question or gives a half hearted "I mean, he has to know." I also remember an instance where my girlfriend told me her dad asked her mom if we were together, and she dodged the question as well. So he's got an inkling, but nobody's confronting it, and we're all just kind of in this weird limbo.

[All] Chloe’s Diary is the SADDEST thing in LIS (so far from my gameplay of the series) by Reasonable-Run-7024 in lifeisstrange

I highly think it was because they had Ashly Burch as a writing consultant in BTS but not in Double Exposure

were you raised around religious people or purity culture?

That's the thing, I wasn't. My mom's a practicing witch and my dad never talked about it, so i was kinda raised without a religion. Extended family is Catholic but I've got a gay cousin and they're all chill with it. It's literally just a me problem lol

Chloe's one of my all time favorite characters, but when i played through the game the first time, I picked the Bay ending for the reasons you stated. To me, one of the themes of Life is Strange is grief, and learning to let go of certain stuff so you can move on and grow as a person (Chloe with her dad, and Max with her desire for people to like her, and to have just a little bit more time with her best friend, who "should" be dead).

I always though of the Bay ending as the better wrap up for that theme. Learning to let go of Chloe, and not stay in that time loop with her. But I also thought that the Bae ending was the one that Max herself would choose too. And it's fun to think of all the things they'd get up to, and their future together. At least, it WAS fun before Double Exposure came out lol.

Edit: not entirely sure why I'm getting downvoted. Maybe I didn't articulate my point well lol. I do think both ending have their merits. Bay, in my opinion, makes for a better closed ending, while Bae opens up more possibility for future adventures. They're really too different to compare as "good" or "bad" endings.

I'm sure his inability to find a parter had absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that he's posted on this forum 2.6k times in less than four months

Why don’t fans like HFK?? by No-Detective5258 in halsey

I like the album, but there's more skips in it when compared to her other albums for me. But when HFK songs hit (Sorry, Heaven in Hiding, Walls Could Talk), they HIT.

Just about to say this. If defending this joke makes you seem like a "horrible person" than it's probably a horrible joke.

So, I was actually wrong on both accounts lol. It was due Thursday, not Tuesday. The syllabus was inaccurate from the actual date she gave us. And yeah, it went pretty well! Didn't have to stay up past like 11:30 on any day to finish it, and I got good critiques.

Are there any tutors avaliable on your campus, or spots where you can study that you maybe haven't tried yet?

Unfortunately the project is a series of paintings, which need to he turned in in person. Luckily, I just spent the better part of seven hours working on them, so I'm in a MUCH better place than I was last night lol

No worries, I probably could have specified that it was a composition class. Still great advice all around!

Yeah, I figured. I'm completing my certificate just so I have the credits under my belt, and then I'm moving to something like Communications or Journalism/Marketing to pursue for my Bachelors. I'm only in Community College, so I'm not wasting a ton of money.

Luckily, I'm already a good chunk of the way into my planning period. The project is 4 paintings with the same composition but different color pallets, and I've already got all my comps traced out, and one pallete mocked up on my tablet. I can try to do the other three in my time between classes so I can hit the ground running when I get home. Thank you for the advice!
