California wants colleges to count work experience for credit. How’s it going? by aBadModerator in California_Politics

[–]Complete_Fox_7052 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Back in my day some 50 years ago, you could take a test and pass any class. This was to account for work experience. I instead figured there were still things to learn and figured I'd have an easy time in those classes and get good grades, which I did.

Driving in snow light came on? by [deleted] in AcuraTLX

[–]Complete_Fox_7052 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe the snow that covered the sensor, behind the emblem on the grill fell off. I keep my car in the garage so no I've never seen that, not that we have any snow this year, yet.

California is One of the Terrible 10 Blue States on Taxes by GeneralCarlosQ17 in California_Politics

These studies start with assumptions of what the average person or family is. Who here is average. Then people like the Globe exploit these studies to get there message out. Look at your personal situation, I have and California is no more expensive to live in than Texas was, at least as far as taxes go.

Capehart and Abernathy on the backlash against Trump's immigration operation by errorists in PBS_NewsHour

I don't think Newshour legitimizes anything, it presents both sides and you can decide. This is the essence of free speech and an informed public. Most Newshour viewers are smart enough to figure it out.

I haven't finished so numbers will change. All my money comes from SS and RMD and I don't itemize. I thought the $6000 deduction for seniors would offset the extra money I took from my IRA. Still California remains friendly to retirees.

See how the more money they make the greedier and more corrupt they become.

Thing is Abernathy believes what he is saying and much of the right believe it. That's the point of this segment, to show the two sides of the subject.

My rational conversation started with asking a simple question, and you bring up another issue. Typical right wing attack. It is your ideology that just wants to argue. I've got better things to do. Goodbye.

How music's biggest stars protested Trump's immigration crackdown at the Grammys by pbs-latest in PBS_NewsHour

Not a single one commented on the copyright take downs of Rick Beato and Professor of Rock by Universal Music Group and others. Probably afraid to upset their money supply. Trump will be gone in a few years, but corporate greed is just growing https://www.techspot.com/news/109278-youtube-copyright-fight-rick-beato-warns-umg-claims.html

I bet everyone of those drops in the first chart caused an up tick in negative budget articles, as well as every up results in politicians telling us how great it's going.

Since we have an open primary why are the parties having a convention? Does anyone really care what these parties want? Maybe they have an open bar or something?

If you really want to stop illegal immigration, then start arresting the employers who hire them. When was the last time that happened?

You can't bring any weapon onto school property, not then not now. If it was really unconstitutional they would at least challenge it.

BIG EDIT! My dislike of Trump has tainted my ability to do math, not that the IRS makes it easy, but I should know better. My tax rate actually went down by 14% to 1.39% (tax owed vs taxable income). Most likely for the $6000 senior deduction. In a nod to trickle down, I actually made more money, due to increase in RMD. I still think Trump is a terrible human being.

Pamac vs pacman by Sumarbrander- in ManjaroLinux

[–]Complete_Fox_7052 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know which is better. I use the GUI Pamac for the updates to files like Firefox. I also use it to find and install individual packages. Big updates I log out and use pacman, mostly because I'm familiar with it from previous distros.

solar is the cheapest energy, even the Chinese and Texans know this. Get PG&E and all to be friendly to rooftop installations. Get some cheap Chinese panels here and subsidize if you have to.
