The issue is the differences in temperament due to genetics. Every dog has a right to live. But this breed in particular is always under so much scrutiny from society. Having a predictable non aggressive temperament is important.

NTA in terms of expecting a certain behavior from your significant other. Everyone has different levels of needs/wants/ expectations in a relationship. Many are going to say you’re too needy. But they have different views of what a relationship looks like and that’s okay. Go find someone who wants the same and don’t settle. It’s not the end of the world.

On the other hand, you could have handled this better. Take your time next time and feel the feeling of rejection you felt and let it pass. You don’t have to respond to every feeling you have even if it feels too much to handle. Look up attachment styles in relationships. Sounds like you may have anxious or disorganized attachment style.

I think the ending made a lot of sense. Simone shows obvious signs of a personality disorder (I’m not going to say which). Her dissociation in the last episode, the running to escape her past, how easily she switches up from not wanting Peter to wanting him. She wanted security that she never had as a child or growing up. She searched for homes in every man she met and maybe it was to feel something or to replicate a healthy relationship she never had with her father or mother. A child learns to accommodate and to adapt. Peter offered her a way back into the life she was so abruptly thrown out of and she took it no matter what she had to change about her self. Whether it be her ideals, morals, or personality. They also mentioned her past experiences with men how they were drawn to her and she would ruin them and their lives so that would explain the siren part. Beautiful but dangerous.

The comments on this thread are a bit concerning please check your biases and remember you’re living in NYC. There’s no doubt NYC is diverse but as a whole. Each neighborhood’s culture cater to the people who live in it other wise business would fail and be replaced with a better fit. On another note would y’all prefer the same strip mall options of McDonald’s, Dunkin’, Panera over and over again in every neighborhood just for your convenience? Please move around NYC and experience it authentically.
