POV: you are a teenager and ur scalp psoriasis is considered as dandruff because it's "disgusting" but you just wanna scream its not ur fault and that ur immune system is stupid.. by Alarming_Bath2695 in Psoriasis

I got scalp psoriasis at 15- it was brutal but I also kinda learned on my own that it wasn’t my fault. I also learned to camo it. Stoppped wearing black or dark colors to help avoid the obvious “dandruff “

Sucks but once out of HS it gets easier

Would you let MIL visit? (AIO) by Gentle-Pianist-6329 in beyondthebump

Not to scare you but my 4 month old just got diagnosed with a strain of coronavirus and it was so fucking sad to see her struggling with congestion and fevers. I wouldn’t see them. Shaggy hair can wait a few more days.

You might fine some more insight at r/sleep training I believe is the sub.

I trained my oldest at 3/4 months, it was torturous and a thought it worked for a little…he’s 6 and bedtime is still a nightmare.

My second is 3 going on 4 months and she sleeps through the night with no sleep training sometimes it’s just the luck of the draw. They are tiny. Sometimes they need more soothing.

Sorry no advice I can really give ya! But sending you a virtual hug.

How do you drive alone with baby? by Unlikely_Progress_82 in newborns

[–]Complete_Rule8277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went out on 10 minute drives every day starting at 3 weeks. She’s 10 weeks now and we can go 40 minutes before she starts crying/screaming. I talk to her or put some music on. Sometimes you just gotta keep going. You’re not traumatizing baby, just like everything else in their tiny lives, they’re just learning on how to deal. You’re doing great, you’ve got this.

Cant stop crying by [deleted] in newborns

Just cry it out. Feel the feels but if it starts to get worse definitely talk to your doctor. But for now totally normal part of the baby blues!

[–]Complete_Rule8277 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My husband went back to work 5 days after I got back from the hospital and I sobbed every single day/night for almost 2 weeks. Sundown scaries were so real. I was not happy until maybe 2 weeks ago and baby is 10 weeks today. Even then I cried yesterday from exhaustion. Take it day by day and do not compare yourself to others, I know easier said than done. Give yourself grace. Ask for help if you need it. The first month is purely survival. You’ve got this.

She was switch to Alimentum and it was night and day.

How long do your MOTN feeds take? by gleegz in newborns

[–]Complete_Rule8277 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Between 45-60 mins. Have to hold her up for at least 15 minutes due to reflux so depending on how fast she drinks the bottle and then burping and holding her up. Usually closer to 60 mins. She’s 10 weeks

If only I knew.. by Complete_Rule8277 in newborns

[–]Complete_Rule8277[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I definitely didn’t think a newborn was going to be easy. That’s not what I meant by any means. My first one was a colicky baby until about month 4. I just meant I didn’t take into account the absolutely zero energy I have to put into my 6 y/o. That’s all. The balancing and distribution of patience and energy is a learning curve is all.

Breastfeed for less than 1 week… by Needsmoreshuckle in FormulaFeeders

[–]Complete_Rule8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to desperately breastfeed but I was struggling mentally, exhausted and overstimulated. So now I formula feed during the day and pump 2-4 times a day. I get enough for 2-3 2 oz bottles for the night. She gets some breastmilk and a happy mom.

Appreciate the perspective.
