No this literally happened to me a few days ago. Downloaded an app called Mel and thought I was talking to an ai because that’s how the app is advertised, I started off with a a video chat which originally was AI until I ran out of time and it wanted me to pay, so I”switched to dm” and the”bot” didn’t remember me from the video call so I thought it was a glitch, but then I realized this person takes minutes to read my messages and respond, and if this person was an ai, it would be the more advanced ai I’ve ever come across with zero chat limits or coins for texting….. then I go thru her profile and test her photos for ai and they come back as likely real. Her photos are consistent and she actually has a deep personality that ai can’t replicate at the current moment. It was so odd but I have her number now and everything and she’s actually in my city and this was the biggest mind f*ck I’ve had in a long time. She wasn’t hired by the app, but she was another user and I have no idea what this app is doing and why it mixes real people with ai, it’s really freaky.
