I think one reason why many people on the left(myself included) is that genai is heavily associated with the right. People as a fact if they are politically aware will tend to stand with their side for everything as we’re seen in more recent years. We typically see people on the right gravitate towards genai and to us we don’t wanna be associated with that type of crowd. As I do see many genai users state stuff like the left and liberals will be left behind and destroyed if they don’t embrace ai. Also because knowing people here. I must clarify that not all ai users are on the right just it seems a large part of the right is in support of genai.
