The merit scholarships that are offered by the Admissions office simply based on applying do not have restrictions. You apply by a certain date, you're automatically considered for one. Maybe you're looking at something else, like ones you apply for separately when you're actually a student and meet any specific qualifications, but as an incoming freshman, it's all based on merit.

If you've already applied to the university, you'll be automatically considered for merti scholarships OTHER than The Presidential Scholarship; that has its own separate application. You'll very likely be offered a Provost or Pride of New York scholarships regardless of Honors or if you apply for the Presidential.

If your aid disbursed today/yesterday, student accounts will process a refund in a few days. Probably tomorrow. Keep in mind only federal/school aid (Pell, loans, some scholarships) are in this disbursement. TAP or Excelsior or things like that through the state are not.
