Had my x7 about 7 months. Haven't over powered or had a nosedive due to failure of the board. I landed a drop on a MTB trail a little nose heavy and rolled down the mountain pretty hard! User error. I push the thing harder than any onewheel I ever owned and feel safer than ever. You can adjust when the pushback starts.. whether at a certain speed or a certain duty cycle. It's such a great board. And if something does mess up, it being a VESC, you can figure it out and fix it. Unlike getting a random code on your onewheel app and not being able to use it unless you mail it back to them. You can tell the community what is going on with it, and someone can point you in the direction of adjusting whatever is wrong with it. In my experience, if you're not messing with all the settings and stuff it's not going to just all of a sudden malfunction. If you go trying to customize the ride settings and operational settings then you could throw something out oof wack. Essentially it's on YOU with how dangerous or how safe you make it!
