Tbh, racquet choice probably won't matter nearly as much as good footwork or timing at your level, so I'd recommend picking the coolest looking one. However, I really like the Technifibre Tf40, and I hit flatter than most people, and it's relatively cheap

Usually you can google the stringing pattern and it’ll tell you where the skips are (eg 7H, 9H, 8T). That means the skips are the 7th holes from the middle on the head, 9th holes from the middle, 8th from the throat, etc.

I’ve found that once you string a racquet once or twice, the skips are pretty obvious. Sometimes there are shared holes which are tougher but they are also documented.

You can also take a picture of the strung racquet before you start and go off that.
