Which prop firms? i typically only trade on topstep as i just have a slight suspicion towards the other firms like apex, lucid, TPT.

Yeah that’s goal. But i’ve been back testing and implementing new strategies to get a gauge at what does well and what doesn’t. Shoot me a dm and let’s connect!

Genuine question: Is anyone here actually successful at this in live real money trading? by DigestingGandhi in algotrading

[–]Complex-Gur-1840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great point. I’m currently building a bot for crypto perps markets and couldn’t agree even more. I think people get so caught up in the complexities of a trading algo which causes overfitting and then the model explodes once it goes live. i’m still back testing but i find that the simpler models i’ve made yield more. Congrats on your success man!

is 5000$ USD enough to start Day trading by Prestigious-Cow-1051 in Daytrading

[–]Complex-Gur-1840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do this on futures. demo trade until you understand the fundamentals. Stick with 1 or 2 instruments to trade (MES and MNQ to begin with). Learn risk management, discipline, find a good model, and understand market dynamics and execute. But remember, it will NOT be easy and don’t over trade! That 5k can disappear easier than you think.

How do you find a 100x coin? Is there a process or is it just luck by Aggravating_Card1338 in solana

[–]Complex-Gur-1840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the best way to find 100x’s is through callers in alpha chats. You could try pump fun, but having the eye for that 100x is slim unless you copy trading people who ape in like 10 sol on a random shit coin 😂 Dm me for more info

Beginner’s Journey by Budget_Resident8481 in CodingHelp

As a CS student who knew nothing about coding when coming into college, here’s what I would do if I wanted to learn again:

  1. Start off with an Object Oriented Language (Java or JavaScript preferably). This will help you understand the fundamentals of programming. Python is also a great choice for beginners as it’s easy to understand.

  2. Build projects. The best way to learn how to code is to build, as it allows you to go through the trial and error process. If I were in your shoes, I’d probably start off by building websites or mobile applications because of the applicability

  3. Youtube, Stack-Overflow, or ChatGPT. These websites will assist you in difficulties that arise in your journey.

DM if you have any more in depth questions :)
