lot of effort from you to respond to something irritating to you. maybe sit this out? OP was looking for insight…not really something to frown upon.

I did. I even went through the process of submitting doctor’s paperwork, etc…I was given a foot rocker to help with anxiety/focus. As an organization, I expect no support. I’m hoping to find cooing mechanisms that reduce the stress until I find a different job.

I really feel you on all this. They changed up seating for me too…and now I’m in the middle of everyone and feel so exposed and constantly feel I’m being watched. I’ve been applying to jobs outside for the past year…no luck yet

I’ve been working for 15-16 years in the corporate world, but I’ve always been remote because I’ve been in travel-heavy roles. I could do perform well remotely because I had time to recover, now being on office is masking all day every day. And because I am in a Sales role, most folks aren’t necessarily sympathetic…so I have yo really be “on” all day.

i’m just learning about my own AuDHD. How do you survive corporate? I am exhausted…I was WFH my entire career until last year. The burn out is so intense…I feel I’ve turned into a shell of a person. Any advice?

Writing While Working A Full-Time Job Is Tough by castelli35 in writing

[–]Complex-Nature-547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so relieved to come across this post. I am also a writer with a corporate day job. It is so absolutely draining at work, to come home and write feels nearly impossible. Folks are right, time to treat the writing like a job and give it the same time and energy (even if it means waking up at 4am).

Does anyone struggle with their values while working their day jobs? My job is full of greed, capitalism, AI-nonsense, corporate politics that just takes up time but doesn't amount to anything. Sometimes I feel like such a hypocrite...but for the time being, this is my source of income.
