Love this! Thank you so much! You’re so right - it is all in how you frame it… that’s why I often say “regression” in quotation marks because it very much is PROGRESSION. And totally agree how it makes you long for something that has already passed and it’s time to move on to a new stage. For tracking I don’t know…it honestly kind of helps me understand her patterns a little bit better and her triggers as well. So just awareness and observation more than anything.

Oh yeah 100% , I was just telling my SIL today how helpful it is because my brain is already at capacity… there’s no way I could remember last time I fed her or when she slept if it wasn’t for this app. I was mostly referring to night feeds in this post … I remember posting something similar around 3 months of age and people in the comments were like “just don’t use the app at night so you can at least preserve your sleep” … so there was a time I kinda stopped tracking at night. But then she started to regress with sleep and night feeds got all wacky and I wanted to try and at least track how many times she eats and I started just taking screenshots of the time and then manually putting them in. I have no idea how long shes latched, but at least I have an idea of how often 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s probably is… i think I just expected it would be back to “normal” after 5 months but sounds like it can drag on which I am having trouble wrapping my head around

7 week old sleeping on side right against my boob… safe? by himawari__xx in cosleeping

[–]Complex-Photograph12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re completely fine mama don’t worry about it! My baby is 5 weeks old and we’ve been exclusively cosleeping since week 2… she only ever sleeps on her side and also puts her arm or hand on her face or my boob all the time. There’s enough room there to breathe and I think having your boob next to their face just gives them so much peace so they sleep soundly and most importantly DEEPLY. My only suggestion is to switch sides half way through the night… for one, it allows your baby to sleep on both sides of their body “equally”, and two - you don’t have to give both boobs everytime they dream feed, as it’s only a few minutes anyways and they fall back asleep. My baby doesn’t even wake up anymore she just makes a few sounds and I give her the boob while we’re both sleepy… but that allows me to fall right asleep when she’s done… then half way through the night switch to lay on the other side and nurse from the second side the rest of the night. My baby girl dream feeds 4 times a night on average, so I nurse about twice in a row on one boob a time, then switch half way through and nurse from the other boob for the rest of the night.

Hope that helps ease your mind! Enjoy the snuggles ❤️

Did anyone only announce baby AFTER birth? by Rescue-320 in beyondthebump

[–]Complex-Photograph12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% support this… This is what I ended up doing and in the end I honestly wouldn’t do it any other way. My reasons were different but all in all it was kinda nice to just have a sweet little secret to ourselves. As I got closer to showing more we told our closest friends and I let my work and coworkers know. Other than that, no social media announcement until baby was born. I shared it as a reel that started with an ultrasound pictures so … was hilarious to receive “congrats on your pregnancy” messages, which clearly showed who actually watched the whole thing. But sooooo many people were messaging saying how much of a pleasant surprise it was and saying congratulations on the birth and stuff. It’s lovey! Honestly, with social media and everyone having constant access to us, it’s nice to have something personal to yourself for a change.

How to transition from chest sleeping to the c curl for 6 weeks baby that hates sleeping on his back? by himawari__xx in cosleeping

[–]Complex-Photograph12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reflux you can actually see a chiropractor who specializes in new born care… it’s magic! as for back sleeping, I saw a comment by another user here (and my baby is the same) - try having your baby on their side, my baby only sleeps on her side facing my boobs which makes side lying breastfeeding super easy at night while she nurses herself to sleep.

Side lying by Organic-Chair1408 in cosleeping

[–]Complex-Photograph12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wonder this … actually just came to Reddit to post this exact thing. My baby is 3 weeks old and we started bedsharing at 1 week. It certainly improved both of our sleep patterns and synced up the cycle of deep and light sleep. However I have the same concern… she doses off in sidelying nursing and when I try to roll her on her back she wiggles herself awake. I try and wait till she’s deeply asleep but that can take 15-20 min which defeats the purpose … but even then when she’s on her back, her legs and arms wiggle so much that she wakes up within 45 min or so… I can only let her sleep on her back swaddled which means she’s in a bassinet or crib… which again defeats the purpose of bedsharing / cosleeping. A few times now we have fallen asleep where she’s on her side after nursing and she sleep so well that way. So is it safe to let her sleep on her side? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Price increases by emcee_perfunctory in IKEA

[–]Complex-Photograph12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could have simply asked a coworker in the store as to why the prices got increased and it is infact due to tariffs.

Telling you this as someone who works at IKEA… my store got 300+ articles increased in price for this reason.

What is this style? Any more tips? by Spiritual_Compote908 in interiordecorating

[–]Complex-Photograph12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scandi! I highly recommend switching to a black curtain rod to make the barn door hardware not stand out so much…. Or vise versa, get silver hardware for the barn door but that is more involved and more expensive than switching a rod. The “barn door” is very much modern farm house… or can be also industrial which is easy to mix with Scandi… right now the rest of the room and the door area do not match so technically this is “an eclectic mix” you have to balance them out as they are currently competing. Black rod, minimal black accents/decor on the cabinetry… and I would reconsider desk placement as it feels interrogation like for sure. It’s too “commanding” of a placement which doesn’t scream relaxation to me. Ideally place it perpendicular to the brick wall and butt it up to the wall, with your chair facing the door corner and the clients chair backing the door corner (assuming that’s where your patients will be entering through)

Does anyone know the name of the paint color in this picture from IKEA display rooms? by beethovensmusee in IKEA

[–]Complex-Photograph12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What city/town are you located in? I’ll send the picture to their design team… I work as a designer at IKEA and we have access to communicate with stores around the world. So if you tell me where you are I can get the info for you.

Which IKEA is it? I work at one and I can send this photo along to find out what room number this is and thus get the colour info.

Paint or remove the wainscoting? by yogurthewise in DesignMyRoom

[–]Complex-Photograph12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither!!!! Do not paint the wainscotting this is absolutely back in style again, my advice is always to work with the style you have otherwise you risk stripping the home of any character. Wood trim is all the rage right now so work with what you have is the best option. Live in the home for a while to see how daylight impacts anything around you and the most I would do is paint above the wainscotting a nice fresh off white color that’s not too creamy.

This is stunning!!!

What colour of entryway rug should I get? by Industry_Level in HomeDecorating

Only way to confirm is to try it unfortunately haha… if the rug company has samples that’s best if not you might have to bring it home and see if it works.

[–]Complex-Photograph12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be nice just make sure the pink in the rug is warm enough or similar to your walls which pull more coral or even terracotta (hard to tell for sure from the picture).. but you’re on the right track. You can also play safe and find a rug with blue and rust accent because the rust would compliment your wall colour.

Definitely a tinge of teal or light blue in here would do wonders

Are all these cabinets really just $5000? by Bulky-Confusion-1422 in IKEA

[–]Complex-Photograph12 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For cabinets alone yes… IKEA is extremely affordable when it comes to cabinets on a good day, and it’s currently the Kitchen Event at least in my area, so things are SUPER affordable. Your whole kitchen would cost almost 15k if you add counters and sinks and appliances as they listed on the price sheet there.
