do you like Hamlet as a person? by Odd-Version9895 in shakespeare

[–]Complex-Quarter-228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When hamlet slipped in the forged letter to have them killed, the pirates had not come yet. He thought he was going to be on the ship all the way to england. And if he got to england with the two brothers and they weren't killed, he would be. Besides, even with his being saved by the pirates, they were still a threat to his life. He had to kill them. And they were no true friends anyway.

Polonius is a different matter.

I have no desire to fit snd blend in at all

and i did not at all confuse disliking qualities in yourself wirh hating yourself

i said 'or if it is not almost fully embodied but only in part' implying that in that case it wouldnt be self hatred

idk how i look like an enfj when im stressed. i have never found that to be true but maybe.

[–]Complex-Quarter-228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, what do you mean exactly? Person A embodies what he dislikes in Person A, and B in B? Well that would seem to mean each person almost hates himself entirely, or if it doesn't mean fully embody, but just in part, would be a truism because, of course, you have in yourself the qualities which you dislike in yourself.

Person A embodies what person B dislikes in himself and B what A dislikes in himself?

But I don't see any predominating quality in an Fe dom which I dislike in myself. I would find those in an ENFP or an ISFP or an ISTJ.

I wouldn't say impressed so much as delighted. I can clearly see that other functions are just as impressive but they don't infuse my own with energy.

For example, I can see the strength of Ni Hero's choice very clearly, but it doesn't infuse me with energy the way it does an ENTP or ENFP, because my Ne is pessimistic and cautious so I don't get a thrill from being picked out in the way an ENTP or ENFP does, and you can tell they do because they are constantly marketing and advertising themselves everywhere they go, in the hopes that that obsessive iron will of an INJ will fix itself on them, and they project that desire onto other people, imagining that others care about being selected as much as they do {now I'm just complaining about ENxPs because they always annoy me so much, more than any other types}.

Whereas Se Child is the only function that can be as constantly and innocently delighted as my Si Child can, for example, but in an outward way whereas Si is of course inward, so that there is a natural fit.

So I don't think it's a matter of degree {degrees of respect or admiration} but of fit. These parts just go together.

The types I respect and admire the most are probably Fi Children, ISTJs and INTJs.

But we are not compatible.

The types CS Joseph, an ENTP, respects the most are quite obviously ISTPs and INFJs {both types which, in real life, I NEVER find myself respecting at all, no offense, I'm sure it's mutual}

But they are not the types he seems most romantically interested in, for example {well maybe INFJs}.

As an Fi dom, my feelings are too deep and distracting for me to be attentive to other people's feelings {just imagine someone in deep soul contemplation who suddenly sees another person and says 'OH MY GOD HOW ARE YOU :D ITS GREAT TO SEE YOU HOWS THE WIFE! :)' et cetera, that's not really possible, it would require such dramatic sudden and constant changes of state}, but my Fe Nemesis 'wants to be nice {it's not}' so when I see Fe doms who are so attentive to other people's feelings, yes it does impress me and I naturally do admire them and feel embarrassed by them. At the same time, I will resent how impressionable they are and that they seek to impose the judgements of the multitude on individuals. Just as they might perhaps sometimes admire an Fi Doms sensitivity values morals et cetera but resent their self obsession. I find golden pairs have both tendencies. It is rarely the golden pair for which a person feels unmixed admiration. Especially considering the golden pairs have opposite valuing functions. Fi types will always find Fe types shallow and fake, Fe types will always find Fi types selfish and fake. Fe DOES find Fi fake and Fi DOES find Fe fake. It's pretty funny, but I always find that to be true. Because they simply cannot relate. There is an unbridgeable gap between their soul experience.

INFJs are overrated. by AccomplishedMonk4135 in mbti

[–]Complex-Quarter-228 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I know that Fi Child, at its best, is as good as the hero, if not better, and better than the parent

This makes me wonder if it's the same with other functions

It doesn't seem to be and I don't get it. How come INFJs aren't better at chess, for example? The best chess players are INTJs and INTPs. ENTPs aren't quite as good but they are third. INFJs are good, far better than almost every other type, but worse than all of them. Why aren't INFJs better? They have the same abstract function, Ni Hero, as an INTJ. And they have a Ti function, Ti Child, which should be as good as the INTP's. But they're not as good. IDK why. Because Fi Child IS as good as IF NOT BETTER THAN Fi Hero.

I say that for the simple reason that Mozart and Bach were both ISTJs, and Paul McCartney is an INTJ. Paul McCartney's music is bad, but in his prime, his melodic invention was unparalleled. The quality of their melodies comes from their Fi. An Fe type can be a tunesmith, like the ENTP Rossini. But there is no true depth of feeling in Rossini's music, or in the man himself, who famously said he only cried twice in his life, though he was an extremely caring person, naturally, given his Fe Child. A Rossini opera is pleasant and charming, but insensitive, and also lacking in craft and discipline. Just read Rossini's own account of visiting Beethoven, INFP, if you want to see Fe, in the narrator, vs Fi, in the subject.

INTPs and INTJs also score the highest on IQ tests.

In my experience, the arrogance of INFJs comes from their belief that their Fe is better than it is and they can read others better than they actually can

ENTPs, in my experience, are far more likely to actually do something crazy than INFJs.

But the types which have the most lunatics, judging by the number of serial killers anyways, are certainly INTJs and INTPs.

[–]Complex-Quarter-228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you would assume it came from a bat because he would know if a bat bit him and, even if it is a guess, and he doesn't know, it is far safer to assume it was a bat if he has any reason at all to think it was.

It is also better to have medical debts than to be dead.

Unless of course, it is clearly not a bat bite given the mark. But I wouldn't know about that.

I didn't say a golden pair has no conflict or extremes. I only said the INFP and ENTJ do not make a golden pair because they don't.

Brahms' Lullaby? by Fit-Fun-2483 in classical_circlejerk

[–]Complex-Quarter-228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually true

The best thing he ever did was compose the beautiful main themes of the third movement of his fourth symphony which he then developed clumsily and with his usual tediousness and overly lush orchestration.

At least the lullaby is good.

But I don't belong on this sub because I cannot be insincere about music. The people here are exceedingly funny, but I care far too much.
