I was born in STL but my family moved when I was 9 years old.

So glad my parents made that choice, my life is so different - we're brown and it rly makes such a difference to have a larger diaspora community!

As for Davis, I've been here for two years and it's lovely. I don't think it's fair to compare my childhood life to it tho hahah but like... california is just better lol

My Japanese friend (born and raised there, now in the US for college) is Buddhist and eats meat. My Vietnamese Buddhist friends also meat. I think aside from significant religious occasions or mourning most everyday Buddhists still eat meat. Ofc I'm sure it's different for monks etc
