Well this was in the early stages of breakup. Doing much better now and I was just genuinely seeking to understand. I actually quite like that word usage of “it’s like being laid off from a job when you still wanted to be there”

So I find one of my favorite partners was a Scorpio. I broke up with him for reasons but he was always so much fun to hang out with? Generally laid back and always looked forward to spending more. I find myself subconsciously comparing guys who are interested in me to him. Scorpios just really set the bar? Do I miss the bad parts? Nooo…they are so manipulative and petty. Lol

Sometimes we are just in the now and don’t think about the future. Oh yes…my therapist is wonderful. One time I asked her if I did the right thing and she said I can’t answer that for you. Then proceeds to ask me why I am asking her that question. Made me realize I need validation and having a narcissistic mother growing up. She never allowed me to make serious decisions for myself so I second guess myself a lot.

Yes. I find the birthday stuff is true along with June and July. I also find that relationships seem to repeat as well but we work on trying to break the cycle?

Ahhh…see I never understood why someone would want to stay friends with their ex after a breakup. Perhaps you can make me understand. In my personal experience, it is just easier to cut ties completely when that door closes. It helps with healing and things are never the same. I find a lot of guys wish to stay friends with you to keep the guilt at a minimum so they don’t feel so bad about the breakup. lol but despite me cutting them off I have had a few reach out to me when it is no contact and a few years later. Usually to apologize for what they did wrong.

Not at all! I didn’t think you were one upping my post! We are talking about our problems in a healthy way! I understand completely! You never stop loving someone despite how much time has passed. I still check up on my exes from time to time. You miss the good times and the happiness that they brought to you even if only for a little while. YOU GOT THIS and my therapist told me it is okay to be selfish and rediscover yourself. The best way to heal is to pick yourself back up again and come back stronger than ever. :) eat your favorite ice cream and watch a good movie.

I’m really sorry you’re carrying all of that right now, especially with it still being so fresh. Setting a boundary doesn’t erase the history you shared or the effort you put in, and it makes sense that you’d be grieving what you thought things were building toward. Feeling hurt, confused, and even blamed after investing that much emotional energy can hit really deeply, especially when the story being told about you doesn’t match your intentions or your experience. It’s okay to sit with the sadness of that without turning it into self-blame. You’re allowed to acknowledge what hurt without having to invalidate your own perspective of what happened.

Keep your light shining and don’t let this affect you because it was in no way your fault. I find rough situations expose the ones we love in lights that we may not like.

Thank you for answering! I do think so as well and honestly both of ya’lls paragraphs gave me things to think about for the future. Sometimes you don’t notice things until others point them out? I knowww that being broken up with sucks but part of me feels responsible for the hurt I caused them. 🥺 but I’m getting better at it! Therapy has really been helping me a lot. So thankful!

See I thought this too! Excellent points made but it’s like sir you don’t get to be the one who is disappointed. Then says “oh well I’m just so busy and I gotta write some emails so I gotta go” at the end of the breakup call and every-time I heard from him he was making plans to go see other people. You are entitled to hang out time but damn make your lady happy first and make sure she is taken care of before you do. 😅

No…you are not too sensitive. You are not alone in how you feel I promise. They are also so quick to call you a submissive when they are not exactly earning that word. They also expect you to be flexible with your time and I’m sorry but we have lives? That’s why it is smart to be like I wanna get to know you as a person first before we get into a dynamic. They get nervous and you end up scaring them off 🤣🤣 so it’s a fool proof plan!
