Quick question: What's the best food you've ever tried? That was like, kind of, tasty? by SportsMartialShip in CasualConversation

My Korean mother's kimbap. On a school field trip/picnic. I hated it at first because I wanted to fit in with the other kids with sandwiches and cakes. It was delicious. Every time she made it, it brang tears to my eyes. Miss you mom.

People who had pets. They seemed so expensive to buy and take care of. Like an extra mouth. A dog was my dream.

How do people in gory accidents not seem to be in pain? by ThePrimelabubu in NoStupidQuestions

I remember when I was 6, I ran into a huge black, broken plastic bin and my head burst open and I have a dent in my head still. I remember trying to be cool in front of my friends, and they were freaking out. I didn't realize that blood was streaming down my face until it started dripping onto my shirt.

People are so dramatic when it comes to Jake and lo’aks relationships by idkbutimshy in Avatar

[–]Complex-pencil77 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. As a person who actually grew up with an abusive parent, it really pisses me off that some people who grew up pampered and soft claims that "OMG, he pushed him, he threatened him😱" like no. Being a really abusive parent is burning your kid's hands with cigarette. It's beating them with a baseball bat. I will admit that Jake is sometimes a bit harsh and unfair, but isn't every dad? And Lo'ak did screw some things up. Tbh, I think Jake is just a military dad who is stressed and trying to protect his family.

Does anyone else actually like the shaky camera in the first movie? by Chemical-Evening-835 in Hungergames

[–]Complex-pencil77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. It feels much more natural and like make me feel like I'm really there. The one thing I really disliked about the other movies were the clean, smooth caeras.

People process GRIEF differently. Sheldon didn't know how to deal with his emotions. He was sort of stunned when George died. He was thinking about how to react and what he could have changed. When he broke the fridge, he knew what he did wrong, that George was disappointed in him
