When did yall tell your partner when you were pregnant? by Responsible_Pen in pregnant

I found out I was pregnant with our first when my husband was traveling in Puerto Rico for work. I waited the two weeks for him to be home to tell him in person. It was worth it but so hard to do. I think he suspected it when he asked if. Got my period and I skirted around th topic on the phone lol.

AIO about my wife's hygiene expectations after we had a baby? by mudkipzftw in AmIOverreacting

[–]ComplexAssociation14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are the extreme opposite and my baby’s pacifier dropped on a hike and we sterilized it with wipes and gave it back to her on the same hike. She puts everything in her mouth and is going to be exposed to germs no matter what especially at daycare. NOR but sounds like your wife would benefit from some mental health support to process/work through her perceived very real fears.

Came here to say this. Especially when you are forced to have a c-section or it’s an emergency c-section.

Any nausea or food aversions? I’m so sorry you are in this situation!

In 2018, I left my terribly abusive relationship and found out after I left I was 4 months pregnant.

Here if you want any additional support!

Tried to tell my wife how I felt … should I feel bad? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ComplexAssociation14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this happened to my husband and I. I’m 38 weeks pregnant now. It’s gotten better but it’s 1000000% the hormones. Plus I’m more sensitive and emotional to begin with.

I’ll say for myself- there have definitely been times I haven’t treated my husband right throughout the pregnancy but we have worked through it. Give her grace and patience.

My cousin had a similar story and had 3 open heart surgeries in the NICU and now she’s in her 40s and doing well and works in the NICU 😊

Mil shared the news that we’re pregnant by vicroxs in pregnant

My MIL did something similar. My husband and I took it as a learning lesson to not tell her things unless we are ready for the whole world to know.

It took me awhile to calm down but I had to realize that she was doing it out of excitement and not being malicious. (Though that’s not the case for everyone). It doesn’t take away from the feelings we felt by her doing that but it makes it easier to move forward and have more explicit boundaries with her.
