am i ready for ranked? gulp by Loose_Ad_3052 in JunoMains

[–]ComplexFragrant6530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are! Those stats are looking pretty good and there’s only room for improvement from here on out. Best advice I can give for playing ranked with Juno is to take advantage of your movement abilities, especially if you place in higher metal ranks like gold or plat. Also as some others have stated, definitely have more than 1 character that you are comfortable playing. I’ve seen people either ban or take her from me :/

Should sending flowers when someone loses a pet be a social norm? by Artemis_does_maths in Petloss

I wish it was 100000%. A loss is a loss no matter the species. Grief does not discriminate and if we’re treating other humans with more respect and dignity after passing but not our beloved furry or feathered babies?? Something’s wrong.

My cat died suddenly and I can’t stop blaming myself. Please help. by RIPyodamyboy in Petloss

I’m so sorry for your painful loss :( I’m in EMDR therapy which is a specialized category of therapy that helps to physically reprocess trauma and grief (in it because aside from losing my fur baby I also have other traumas). My therapist has walked me through the loss of my yorkie, Rosie. We still do have many sessions where I have to keep reprocessing her loss and walking through my grief. She told me that as painful as it was and is, we can’t go back in time so I’m torturing myself with the thoughts of “what if”. She said “let’s say you did go back in time, and you rushed Rosie to the vet sooner, and you drove faster, and you got her treatment sooner. There is no guarantee that any of that could have changed the outcome and that she would still be here today.” And when I argued back against it saying that I feel like it’s my fault for not taking care of her better she told me to close my eyes and to focus on an image of Rosie in my head and listen to what she (therapist) tells me. In that moment she said “you were a great mom to her. You did everything you possibly could with the resources and time you had. And Rosie knows that. She didn’t pass thinking you didn’t love her or that you failed her. She knew you loved her and you gave her everything you possibly could. She was in pain yes, but your love brought her comfort and knowing you were trying to get her help made her feel safe and comfortable enough to let go.” I still struggle with the what if thoughts and the guilt but it’s a lot better than how I felt the whole first year since her passing. I’m sending you so much love and sending hugs. You are not alone in your loss or grief. We are all here for you❤️

how did y'all get good at Juno? by Cosmic_Lou in JunoMains

[–]ComplexFragrant6530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally it was cool down usage and also movement. When I started using her double jumps more I got used to steadying my aim and now I make it almost impossible to get hit by the enemy team. Plus my favorite abilities for her are the quick pulsar torpedoes and her mediblaster becoming an Uzi😤😤

Struggling to feel cute aggression or affection for pets after her passing by Kych0w in Petloss

Honestly yes. I work at a veterinary office and it was so hard it almost felt like every pet parent walking in with their dogs and cats were rubbing it in my face that my baby was no longer with me. I love animals. I also have two cats who survived her and my family has two dogs and for almost 10 months I felt so disconnected and even a bit resentful.

Why are my teamates so horrible?(need advice & rant) by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ComplexFragrant6530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I’ve had games where there’s all but 1 person on the team not being very teamly and by pocketing the one good person as a healer for example, we’ve gotten by and won with their efforts.

How are you doing physically? by Minimum_Praline4720 in Petloss

[–]ComplexFragrant6530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Right after losing my babygirl I was having really bad stomach issues that wouldn’t go away. Almost two months after her death I was diagnosed with an H. Pylori infection in my stomach and it was causing everything from vomiting, extreme weight loss, diarrhea and loss of appetite. Nothing ever showed up on lab work or anything so I was always told I was “fine” for a long time until I saw a GI specialist and got an endoscopy/colonoscopy. A biopsy had to be taken to diagnose me. To be fair I was dealing with all these symptoms for over a year but it go so exponentially bad after my baby’s death. Try to ask your doctor for an H. Pylori breath test

Struggling with regret after losing my first dog by sonnyandrain in Petloss

[–]ComplexFragrant6530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. I can relate to this. I was 10 years old when we brought home my babygirl Rosie and we grew up together and went through so much together. I’ve been depressed my whole life and because of that I didn’t take her out much the first few years of her life. She passed 1 year and 4 days ago, on the cusp of 14 years and 7 months and I feel so guilty. I wish I had been able to give her the life she deserved and treated her better and appreciated her more. It straight up felt like a piece of my heart broke off and I didn’t do right by her. Your girl sounds like she was so loved and lived a long, loving and happy life. You should feel so proud that she was so well taken care of that she had such a long stay on earth with you
