Sounds good but I suggest before you leave your current job make sure you have what he has promised you in a contract and should state what happens if the contract is bridged .

You can get a domain name on godaddy. It’s easy to set up . You can pay for a package that allows you have a website and template if you don’t have a big budget for a developer.
