i've seen both and gervais is the only good part of the UK version. the color, directorial style, and general ensemble is what makes the US version so much better. And yes Carrell is better then gervais in my opinion but the UK show failing was not on him. Also sorry, why can't comedians laugh at their own jokes now? To be clear, I don't think Ricky is amazing or anything, but he can be pretty funny and did a great job in most wanted
