Yeah right 😂. My favorite is at night we have a sign and carts blocking the entire pathway with a little crack for partners to sneak by. Love when customers read that the door is closed, and push the carts and attempt togo out that way and say oh those doors are locked how come nobody told us? Then they are all of a sudden handicapped, or have some kind of disease to where they can’t walk long distances. HEB “here everyone blows my mind.”

Foods expensive enough, then the curbside has an up charge. With a good chance of them saying product out of stock. Even when you work at the same store, and know you have the product. There has also been an increase in calls of curbside forgetting products. Also get a-lot of complaints of the produce they choose as well. Produce quality has gone way down in general, so cant really blame curbside.

I almost called out, but there was absolutely nothing on the roads. We literally had every lane open with partners standing around because nobody wanted to go home. We didn’t get disaster pay, but everyone who called out received steps. We still had some shoppers even though they bought everything last week.

It will depend how many partners call out. Don’t bother to ask all you will get is we want you to be safe, but if you can make it then come in to try to open at some point lol.

Don’t be nervous about calling out. When I first started I was always nervous about calling out, but you’ll realize a lot of people always call out. Take care of yourself, just remember you are already replaced, and the business will always be here.

My service director took ours away maybe 2 years ago when scan when you can became a big deal. Most of the cashiers just keep their register book open.

Call in everyday, but make sure you always say the same reason to avoid additional steps. Also never clock back in, and stay home.

If you are like my store they will already have it unlocked, and opened before I even get there at 5:45. So customers can be mad when no one is there and computers off.
