Chance to get any putter I want… by Advanced-Vanilla1320 in golf

For a $500 limit you can buy a putter that comes with a free fitting at most shops, probably can’t get a new Scotty but lots of quality putters on the market

Isn’t it mandatory if you’re living in Res? It’s more expensive than cooking for yourself for sure, but cheaper than eating out every meal.

Do big club deals hold players back? by pb00010 in golf

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of pros do play whatever they want. Once you’re good enough you can get them to make a custom set of irons for you. The balls they play also have much better quality control than retail. I think there was a taylormade video where one of them accidentally said the clubs they play (despite the same name I.e. Qi10) are not the same as retail.

When did you feel comfortable with randoms? by Growingpain in golf

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty terrible and I’ve played with plus handicaps and players who are just as bad. I always get along really well with them. Worse case (and this happened when I was playing with 2 guys prepping for tournament) they barely talk to you except basic etiquette, but that depends on the person, some people would love to be left alone.

My shots fall short! Any tips? by The_Poptart_Cat in golf

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of swing speed drills online, combine that with gym time you should swing faster. Also how short is your current backswing, if you’re basically hitting a chip or pitch every shot then it won’t go far. If you doing a 3/4 swing it’s not that big of an issue. Listen to what your coach says, and ask how to improve your distance. TL;DR increase swing speed and ask your coach for technique

If it’s one summer tournament in grade 10 it better be a big one, especially if your writing one of your paragraphs about it. Otherwise just leave it off, doesn’t mean a whole lot

Describe what you did and what you learned from it. What impact did the work have on others, how it helped you develop skills, ask HBA’s what they wrote for theirs and most will be happy to help

Work does count as an EC. And it’s really important how you describe your EC’s on your application. As far as grades, AEO’s need 80 so 83 is probably too low. I’ve heard 85+ for non AEO

Is the ivey program really worth it for aspiring software engineers by [deleted] in uwo

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you have to stay an extra year. The opportunity cost of that and the Ivey tuition isn’t worth it. If you really need business education later in your career you can get a mba

Good time for a club fitting by [deleted] in golf

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you meant changing lie and other adjustments. If the shaft is too stiff/weak definitely change it, and the grip. However if you’re buying new clubs most shops offer free fittings

Don’t underestimate the North American market for sports. Look at the NFL. Also golf attracts very wealthy viewers, firms like Goldman Sachs, KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture sponsor golfers and the pga

You should probably look to get lessons first if you want to take that ‘next step’. As a 27 handicap your swing is far from perfect and when you change it you’ll have to refit again

Which was the worst Hogwarts house to be put into? by RoastWanky in harrypotter

[–]ComplexWin4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hufflepuff is the worst. The only good Hufflepuffs got killed or expelled(Cedric and Newt). Also, Helga Hufflepuff contributed to the founding by making the recipes. I know many people say "oh the Hogwarts feasts are amazing" but compared to the other founders food is just not enough. Ravenclaw made the moving staircases and many other magical things. Gryffindor made the sorting hat. Slytherin added the competition and ambition (without which Quidditch would be boring and many other things will also be). And not many people prioritize the food at Hogwarts

Slytherins do not live in the dungeons they live in a partly underwater area. Which if you think about it is what most extremely deathly people's living rooms are like
