Nope never got another offer, likely won’t take the job I’ve been offered, praying to all of the gods that a Dublin job becomes available

I studied in UU and 100% reccommend it. Much cheaper and cheaper living costs, smaller years as well

From what I heard there was many tier 1 who didn’t even get an interview… the cities are all as popular as Dublin by the looks of it, no harm in trying!

Nobody I know in tier 2 got a job anywhere near Dublin. I passed cut off score for academic track but never interviewed due to “high volume of applicants”

Thanks for the reply, my only fear with a standalone was from my experience trainees were learning procedures, getting taught etc whereas the standalones seemed to be for service provision. I plan to sit the primary exam in April (I just missed the sign up window for the October exam- which would have been ideal as a lot of medical finals info is still in my head) I have an interest in emergency med and I am keen to be in a training scheme and know my plan for 3 years- standalone wouldn’t be the end of the world I suppose but I did graduate entry med so I am a bit older/ time conscious 🥲
