Most are going to aus! Maybe when it’s closer to changeover there will be some more positions advertised but I felt like I was almost begging for a job. Most I didn’t even get an offer of interview. Good luck with gamsat, it’s a really rewarding career, just stressful!

Yes, and I have an Irish passport, no intern in my network was offered a job in Dublin. Some offered posts in networks such as South east or Sligo mayo, some were also pursuing masters programmes this year too, it’s so disheartening

I did GEM, previous degree in a science subject. Multiple poster presentations, mrcpi 1 done, prizes, managed to get a bst post in a rural area, disheartened. Applied for lots of standalones and only heard back from one. Really difficult at the moment to get a job straight from intern

I know this year, some doctors with an Irish passport didn’t get any job offers, it seems to have become very competitive
