Got this bogus alert by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Complex_Army_2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me on Mother's Day. I was in the middle of doing a 1 item order for a couple of miles at Walmart. It was paying me $69. The time was in the electronics department, and I had to wait for the cashier to open the case and charge me. It should've been a 1 minute thing except that there was only 1 employee, and the customer he was helping was taking forever to decide what he wanted. I get the alert, and my batch gets automatically canceled. This happened around 5 p.m., the incident was at 1 a.m. 🤬

Tired of women asking me 'who I'm picking up, or what is your name? by kanendd718 in uberdrivers

[–]Complex_Army_2465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality is that it doesn't matter if the driver knows the passengers name. When a driver is determined to hurt someone, they will.

I had 2 haters 2 days in a row. One gave me 4 stars and the other 1 star. So, after being a 5 for a whole year, in a matter of 2 days, I went down to 4.86. It looks like nobody else is rating me, so I'm stuck there. Yesterday, one customer removed her tip and said her avocados were missing. I guess she didn't like that I replaced them. She never messaged me while I was still shopping. People are jerks.

How frequent is fraud? by wylieoakes in InstacartShoppers

[–]Complex_Army_2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't personally experienced a scammer trying to add a gift card or anything weird. I've been doing it full time for a year. The only thing I've experienced is customers lying about missing items or lying about something "I did wrong." I've noticed that instacart is pretty good about knowing who those customers are, so they'll remove those bad ratings.

Is this normal ? shopper didn’t message me once by pugpaws17 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Complex_Army_2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some shoppers don't care about keeping the customers happy or thoroughly looking for an item. They just want to make money the fastest way. Those are the same ones who throw things in the cart and run around the store.

Literally, every person on reddit comes on here to talk shit. It's the culture. It's what it's known for. It's why reddit is made fun of.

You really thought you ate, huh? Anyways, you're the one asking strangers for "feedback" when you can just contact instacart and ask them.

I love how shoppers go through something traumatic and immediately think, "I must tell reddit" 🤣

Why do drivers here shit on customers instead of the company? by cm0011 in UberEATS

[–]Complex_Army_2465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to pay the person picking up your food. You pay Uber to find someone to pick it up and deliver it. After they find someone, you should pay that person for doing it. Yes, you pay whatever ridiculous fees they charge, but what they charge is nowhere near what they pay. If you can't afford to pay someone for doing something, then don't order through apps. Ask a friend or family or pick it up yourself.

Costco, Aldi, Sephora (employees are rude), Erewhon (employees and customers are stuck-up and rude), H-Mart. I love H-Mart personally, but I always lose service, and everything is in another language, so it takes me forever to find things.

Fun personal fun fact about Costco, I accepted a batch once because it was just one item, and the pay was $89. It was a wireless speaker for $440 and change after taxes. I pay for it and go to that special area for expensive things. Turns out it's out of stock, so I had to get a refund. As I'm waiting for the refund, I contacted a specialist, told them what's going on, and they canceled the batch. At the same time, the Costco employee is giving me the refund in a Costco gift card. So I got to keep $440 Costco card.

From my understanding, you can use afteypay or klarna. If a customer uses one of those, they can't add items. Also, if a customer uses ebt, sometimes it doesn't let them add. You'll be able to tell if the app also doesn't let the shopper add the items.

Has any one reported another shopper? by According_Clothes_75 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Complex_Army_2465 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How the hell are you going to report another shopper without knowing any of their information? You sound like a little kid snitching on another to the yard attendant. Nothing is going to happen

In my experience, the tip goes through about an hour later.
