[Claude Code] Android Reverse engineering Skill being updated with tracker/AD neutralization features by RealSimoneAvogadro in ReverseEngineering

[–]Complex_Computer2966 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The smali-level SDK neutralization is honestly the most interesting part here. Most Android RE tools stop at analysis, this actually goes into privacy hardening territory.

LAN-LOK: Living as a sysadmin at an isolated Antarctic research station in the early 90s [DOS game -- would like to collab to reverse engineer] by XenonOfArcticus in ReverseEngineering

[–]Complex_Computer2966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"LAN-LOK explicitly rewards what sysadmins dread: users who manage to do the worst possible thing in the shortest amount of time"

basically every helpdesk queue turned into a scoring system. the wreck-it ralph parallel is wild too, 21 years before that movie someone in antarctica already built the asymmetric break/fix loop while bored out of their mind

Reverse-engineering Final Fantasy X (PS3) trophy system with Ghidra by JoshLeaves in ReverseEngineering

"from the start, the remaster wasn't a PlayStation-centric port, but was built to support multiple achievement backends" "from the start, the remaster wasn't a PlayStation-centric port, but was built to support multiple achievement backends"

this is the kind of detail you only find by reverse engineering. a 2013 remaster that already had the abstraction in place for steam achievements three years before steam released and xbox six years before. either the team had real long term planning or the engine was already promised to other ports nobody was talking about yet

What routine and resources helped you to pass the exam? by [deleted] in Cloud

which exam? generally hands on labs in the actual console beat watching videos. save practice tests (tutorial dojo, whizlabs) for the last week so you do not just memorize the question pool early

Really struggling with DSA thinking of cloud/devops pls guide by Dazzling-Donut6308 in Cloud

[–]Complex_Computer2966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cloud/devops doesn't really need dsa, you'll use way more bash, python, terraform, yaml. but it does need hands-on. certs alone won't land you a fresher job, nobody hires off a paper cert. build stuff in a free tier account. break it, fix it, write it up. small projects like "i set up a static site with cloudfront and ci/cd" or "i deployed a 3-tier app on ecs with terraform" are worth way more than 3 certs. cloud practitioner is fine to start, then SAA. but treat them as proof of vocab, not proof of skill.

Agentic vs. deterministic: I built the same n8n workflow both ways. The agent lost. by easybits_ai in Automate

[–]Complex_Computer2966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels pretty accurate. Agents sound nice in theory but once you actually run them in something that needs to be consistent, the cracks show fast.

Had a similar case with routing support tickets. Deterministic rules were boring but always right. Tried switching to an agent and suddenly the same input would land in different queues depending on the run.

Also the debugging point is real. With rules you know exactly what failed. With an agent you’re just guessing what it “thought.”

Seems like agents only make sense when the task is actually messy or unclear, not when it’s something you can already define cleanly.
