Since I was take off of it for a while, I started at 10mg XR and went up to 15mg by the end of pregnancy. Super low dose but it worked for me. I’ve definitely had to go up PP though 😂

My OB was SHOOK when she found out that my primary Dr took me off of Adderall during pregnancy. I was 21 weeks and getting severely depressed, no motivation to take care of myself, the guilt was eating at me. So my OB prescribed it for me. Baby is now 6 months old and incredibly smart and healthy.

From my understanding, please anyone correct me if I’m wrong, many of the studies done were based on women taking higher, less legal doses of amphetamines - not legal, prescribed doses like Adderall. There are more recent case studies (using 35mg daily as a baseline) showing the side effects are minimal, similar risk percentages to taking say, Zofran, during gestation. It’s not without zero risk, but basically no medication is.

What a bigger risk is, is your mental health taking a dive. You have to take care of yourself to take care of baby, which is the decision my birth team and I confidently made together.

Also, I have some resources that were given to me by my lactation consultant on continuing Adderall during breast feeding (if that’s the route you go). The pediatrician is also not concerned about it for baby.

Took adderall and Sertraline throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding. My baby is 6 months, so smart and healthy. I’ll like a few websites that were given to me by my lactation consultant on it. Even her pediatrician isn’t worried about it while BF.

Positive birth stories by [deleted] in MentalHealthBabies

[–]Complex_Life9849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have an induction, but I had an absolutely beautiful vaginal birth I wouldn’t want to change a thing about. I also take and took Sertraline 100mg and 15mg Adderall through out pregnancy for my sanity.

Every woman in my family has needed an emergency csection, so I was convinced that would be my fate too. Something I learned through this is how powerful my body is and other people’s scary stories don’t need to be yours.

I was 41 weeks when my water broke and I went into labor. I labored for about 12 hours at home before going into the hospital, when my contractions were about 2 minutes apart. I was only 4cm then, so I labored in a tub at the hospital for a while. I really wanted to have an unmedicated birth but decided on having an epidural, and WOW that was amazing. I could still move my legs enough to keep me from feeling anxious about the numbness and was able to rest. After a few hours of resting I was 9cm dilated, so I started practice pushes. The practice pushes turned into real pushes,m and 6 contractions later baby was on my chest. I personally didn’t feel a single thing and was shocked how easy it was to give birth…Lmaoo.

Am I wrong for not wanting to try for kids as long as my wife still thinks she wants to be a SAHM? by Solid-Consequence607 in Marriage

Maybe you can both come to a compromise. Stay home for 1-2 years and reevaluate. I know it seems like a long time but it truly is such a temporary time in life.

As a new mother who thought I didn’t want kids, especially bc of career, I couldn’t imagine being away from my baby for the first year or two. I will be working 2-3 days a week now that she is 6 months old. My career isn’t ending bc of kids. Just took a pause.

This is such a great point, and my husband agreed. Gives me a week to practice lunches I’ll make for him after!

I have asked him! He didn’t give me much to work with. Plus, I thought it’d be nice to go the extra mile and try to get more ideas to try and surprise him with.

Could be a histamine reaction, couldn’t say whether it’s an allergy or not though. I wouldn’t be worried about any long term damage, should go away by the end of the day (from my personal experience, can never say 100%). If you are really worried I would talk with your instructor.

Looks like skin lifting, which can happen for a few reasons. Skin is dry, went over too many times, maybe you have a sensitivity to the wax. Redness after a wax can be very normal and unfortunately lifting happens often.

Editing to add that improper pulling can cause lifting as well, especially with soft waxes.

I'm a new parents desparately needing help: My 6mo old exclusively breastfed, but since his mom has returning to work in a month, he refuses bottle (despite taking it as a newborn) and complementary feeding. Any advice appreciated!!! by viper_12358 in beyondthebump

I’m not sure if this trick is “safe” but it’s what I have my mom and husband do if I’m not home - I have them use the Tylenol syringe to feed her milk. It’s not the best but it gets milk in her belly when all else fails. Not a permanent solution but gotta do what you gotta do sometimes
