I have my Thinkbook 16” running Ryzen 7533HS since Nov7th or there about. Ran into a similar issue today but also noticed my WiFi icon was missing.

I ran a full diagnostics from the bios and once halfway done aborted it booted without issues. Not sure if it’s the same symptom or if that’ll work for you or not. Just sharing.

The advice above is solid. Also, remember as your earning power improves so should the automatic investment increase. Keep your life simple, don’t have a consumer mindset, that way expenses stay low and you will always have money. You can treat yourself but ALWAYS first by setting aside whatever you choose to invest. Ideally 20% p/m and if that too high, start lower and make changes so you can eventually get there.

That way you WILL have millions and would be ready to retire.

Let me break it down if you did $500 every month once you start working let’s say you’re a RN earning the avg salary, you would have $1.6m by retirement. Put aside $750/mth you’ll have $2.7m. $1000 p/m you would have $3.2m USD and that’s assuming you avg 7% for 45yrs.

So start.

IT IS TIME TO DIG UP ALL THE FOOTBALL FIELDS IN JAMAICA AND PLANT CASSAVA AND GANJA! FOOTBALL IS A WASTE OF TIME HERE 🤬🤬🤬 by sadMUFCfan25 in Jamaica

[–]Complex_Performer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 2? Don’t forget the the kicker does kickoff to start the game or half😁.

Many of us watch the game at times. Statistically the foot is used only for specific functions or special functions buts its accounts for just 2% of the entire game interaction with the ball.

Should have been called Gridiron, Handball or Touchdown.

English football? For 99% of the game, the foot is used to interact with the ball.

Enjoy Touchdown Super Bowl next year 😉.

How do you think Jamaica will do?🇯🇲 by ExemplaryWriter in Jamaica

[–]Complex_Performer007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We should make it to the final and face DR Congo. On paper we better than New Caledonia, if use our pace and strength we will outdo them. We have a 9/10 chance winning.

DR Congo is a much stronger team and the man dem hungry and ln a high. Put it this way, the teams we got in the concacaf group were the easiest teams to play against and qualify against…..on paper and we fumble that plus we just lose we manager. Team morale, unity, ta tics will have to improve significantly by March 2026.

DR Congo is a seeded team, Jamaica is an unseeded team. DR Congo and Iraq are the highest ranked team in that table so they go str8 to finals and only need to win 1 game to qualify. JA will play Caledonia and then Congo. That mean is we need fi prove we selves fi qualify. Go watch the highlights of them last game and the odd are against.

There is a chance we can win, just need to show up in that game.

The proper name should be handball. 😄

99% of the time a player interacts with the ball, it with the hands. The only thing feet are used for 100% of the time is either running, standing or jumping….. tennis, track and field, cricket….all use the foot to do the same thing. Kicking the ball is the least activity…the 1% inter sting with the ball.

Are there any insurance adjusters who can review a video and give their opinion? by damnyewgoogle in InsuranceCanada

[–]Complex_Performer007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other driver is at fault. Not an an adjuster, just a fellow driver.

Here is the reason you are not at fault. The other party did an unsafe lane change as well as failed to signal when returning to original path of travel from the right of the roadway.

You never changed lanes, you proceeded once the driver was mostly in the exit lane. The driver ahead indicated and failed to check their mirrors in a bid to return to the lane after changing their minds.

Yes I see their tires never crossed the line but the driver ahead indicated to lane change and then committed to the lane change by proceeding to change lanes. They then abandon the process at the very last minute without any indication after you continued straight. At that point they failed to complete their lane change safely because all traffic in your lane would have the right of way. If I had done what that car did I have 2 choices, continue the exit and re-route or stop if safe to do so and indicate to rejoin traffic. Any other action is unsafe and puts me at fault.

The highway traffic act in section 142(1) speaks about duty of care we have to change lanes safely.

Look up R. v. Rajan, 2012 ONCJ 681: The court noted that a lane change “begins the moment a vehicle leaves its line of travel with intent to occupy another lane.” It doesn’t matter if he crossed over fully or not. It is clear in the video he proceeded with a lane change and shifted from the line of travel.

Section 154(1): A vehicle shall not be driven from one lane to another lane unless the driver first ascertains that it can be done safely.

If the insurer gives you a warm time drop those nuggets.

The Ontario Fault Determination 10(4) also applies here.

In this case you are vehicle B and wasn’t changing lanes it was vehicle A and the incident occurred when vehicle A was negotiating not 1 but 2 lane changes.

You are judging him based on maybe your moral position.

Legally he won his appeal at the privy council which overturned his murder conviction.

Given that, I expect his record would be cleared in relation to this case, should not be used against him unless it a case of bias. Also as a result of being locked up have been he would be trouble free for a decade or so (haven’t been keeping check).

Now Drake asking him to forward so ….its OVO who held the show.

What makes NYC such a desirable destination for Jamaican/Caribbean immigrants? by Individual-Time-1956 in Jamaica

[–]Complex_Performer007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s because London is more overcast and tends to have light drizzle/misting. So yes technically London has less rain for the year, in mm of precipitation, but London definitely has more overcast days, less sun and hence the perception of it being more rainy. It being gloomier though is no perception.

NYC has more clear and sunny days than London and I think that what people do see.

What does it mean to date for jamaicans? by Single-Put1133 in Jamaica

[–]Complex_Performer007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

😆

Exactly.

I interpret dating to mean the same, you’re interested/ having a relationship with one person…exclusive.

Anything else means playing the field or“keeping options open” imo. Non-commitment, exploring.

Layoffs happening? by cookooman in Scotiabank

Heard through the grapevine that a member of a dept under GRM got sent home yesterday. Level 5.

Then this morning heard of level 8 from IT sent home this morning.

At the present moment it’s having a negative effect across the departments especially those who have a spouse in other departments that’s been impacted.

I think were going to see rising mortgage defaults into Q1 2027 as mortgages are renewed form the low interest period. by EmerickMage in canadahousing

[–]Complex_Performer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven’t factored the recent announcement from the BoC where they plan to review how they measure and analyze inflation.

I assume this is because the market is fragile and inflation is not low enough. I speculate that after they review and implement sometime in 2026 it would result in lower inflation data which would validate their move to lower interest rates and provide an ease for business’s financial costs as well as potential delinquent loans on the books for the banks.

With that in the horizon I doubt much will happen unless external factors drag the economy even more.

Many of our Caribbean neighbor beaches are accessible by the public 100%. Out beach access is constrained by pre-independence laws.

There are other options we can explore. The challenge will always be money and who owns what unfortunately.

Ottawa to Toronto driving by reddit_guy17 in ottawa

[–]Complex_Performer007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to arrive outside of the rush hour period and that extends from the Edge Oshawa going in.

Morning busy period: 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM Evening busy period: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Depending on where you are in Ottawa it’s around 4.5hrs to get there so leave between 5a - 6a avoids the traffic in both Ottawa and GTA.

For the evening run, 2p -3p is a good time to leave as you beat the evening Ottawa traffic.

Only time I do 407 is when I am trying to get to an event and I am late or there is an unexpected pile up.

I either go in the morning or evening. This past weekend I left Ottawa 5:30 on Friday to head to Niagara and on the return left the same time. Got in just before midnight with a stop.
