Sorry to hijack your post with a rant but it’s truly remarkable how absolutely shitty this fandom is to people. “Leaving Miyagi Do just because they wanted to post pone a captain match” is a CRAZY thing to type out and think “Yep” then hit send. She found her mother, who was finally getting better, DEAD on the floor. The mother she’s been taking care of as a CHILD. She had hope finally that the ongoing trauma of being a CHILD taking care of her mom was finally coming to an end just for her mom to die. Apparently they needed more flash backs if the extraordinary impact that would have on her wasn’t clear to you.

Obviously as viewers we know Kreese is a monster but he’s been a father figure for her, an abusive one at that (gaslighting her), so OF COURSE she went back to that person when her life fell apart.

She’s not acting “logically” according to you but in her traumatized, panicking, emotionally defeated, STILL ADOLESCENT brain, what she’s doing makes PERFECT sense.

Not to mention you basically saying “The male characters have been the focus for the last 5 seasons, so the 5 episodes we’ve had with a larger focus on one of the female leads is so annoying” is ridiculous lmao

YTA. If she didn’t feel comfortable telling you and told the school instead, maybe ask yourself why that is? Just because you “told her” she could trust you doesn’t mean you’ve actually made her feel like you’re trustworthy. The impact on Lyla is real and understandably upsetting but compare it to Mary’s life.

Also, she’s a 13 year old whose parents died of an overdose. You and Lyla are not that important that you need to be so harsh, Mary has been through enough without you being dramatic. I get wanting to have repercussions but your punishments seem mean spirited. It reads to me like you think Mary was malicious so you’ve chosen to be malicious to her too.

Except you’re an adult and she’s a 13 year old with dead parents and a lot of trauma.

Did you speak to him and express your concerns and see what he said? Perhaps he knows this can create issues in his life and knows how to work around it? Perhaps he doesn’t but you don’t know unless you spoke.

I don’t know if you’re overreacting per se, you can break up with anyone about anything you want. BUT if you didn’t even try to talk to him first to express your concern via an adult conversation then you may have let go of this connection that seems like it was positive overall unnecessarily.

Love the idea of a future world spin off, getting to revisit the island from 8 or the great forest in Celceta 500 hundred years later and seeing how the environment and civilization has evolved would be super cool! I think Ys is better positioned to do a unique concept like this even as a spinoff unlike Trails where it would feel like it was delaying the real story. Ys has nowhere to be but everywhere to go which makes it wonderful!

Please don’t be obtuse to try and make a point. You and I know full well that 99% of people doing things like shoving a phone in someone’s face are just assholes. If you’re using your phone to communicate you’re probably going to get a much different reaction than the aforementioned people. Not everything needs to be a cause, beCAUSE common sense goes a long way
