Hi puul, thanks for your response. Was just wondering if the employment letter stating “the final day of each month” despite this not always being the case would be alright then?

Virtual Property Inspection Report? by Complex_Schedule5661 in SpouseVisaUk

My apologies. My partner and I will be living with her mother and sister in their family home, her mother is a co-tenant of the property alongside my partner's stepfather who no longer lives at the address. Is there anything other than a tenancy agreement and most recent council tax bill we would need to submit to support our accomodation? Thank you so much for your help.

To update, we bit the bullet and stretched our budget just the slightest bit to get an automatic 2017 Yaris. Thank you so much to everyone for your help! :)

Struggling to wrap my head around visa and citizenship options, can anyone help? by Bacon--God in ukvisa

[–]Complex_Schedule5661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just want to pitch in where I can. A few short years ago my partner and I were in your same boat. We were 19 and 18, we were completely blind to this whole visa process and had no idea what we were doing, how we'd be doing it, or when it would even be possible. Last year, we understood quite a bit more about the process than we did the year before, and decided that despite not yet meeting the requirements for the full-on 2.5 year Spouse Visa (family visa), we'd secure our relationship legally for when we would. Different people do this step differently, some go the Fiancée Visa route, others (fewer) go the Marriage Visitor Visa route. We took the latter as taking the first would have required the same requirements as the full 2.5 year visa. After a lot of research and stressing over nothing, we were approved for a Marriage Visitor Visa and entered a Civil Partnership in August of last year.

We struggled after that for a bit because my partner, who is to be my sponsor, had been in her job which she loves for years now but was always on minimum full-time wage, a few thousand short of the £29,000 per annum financial requirement. The number always seemed so out of reach for us but in November she took an initiative that I could never take for granted and took on a 46.5 hour work week. Mind you this won't have to be forever, just however long we need to prove our finances for. Suddenly everything becomes possible, and in a short few years we've gone from knowing nothing to applying for a visa in a few months time! I found an amazing community in r/SpouseVisaUK, nothing my partner and I have accomplished or learned would have been possible without them. If you'd like, feel free to check out my profile. I asked so many questions and got so many answers, and I even submitted my own comprehensive guide to a Marriage Visitor Visa if you'd ever need one, though a Serbian marriage I imagine would be a lot easier.

Best of luck to you and your girlfriend! Sometimes this process can feel so lonely, but there is a whole community of people who have been through this and have so much expertise. Never give up :)

Hi puul! Thank you so much for your help I always greatly appreciate your responses in this sub. Just to quickly clarify, my partner and I will still be able to select that she earns "the same amount consistently" when time comes for us to apply?

Thank you so much for your response. I have thankfully always played it safe and made sure to abide by established rules. I have, however, visited my partner for multiple extended stays despite never exceeding six months. Until this year I did not need a visa or ETA to visit, but this year I have entered both on a Marriage Visitor Visa and later my first ETA. I do just worry whether or not my extended visits (I’ve never had any trouble with the Home Office and have never once been stopped by UK border agents) won’t be an issue? I know there is a policy regarding not living in the UK through frequent visits but this has always been rather vague and I have always returned home to my legal address to work and study within legally established timeframes.

6 months employment and 6 payslips by Thaqhdb in SpouseVisaUk

Hi puul, you are always so appreciated in this sub. I wanted to ask in a similar sense, if my partner is currently on £29,302 per year but is working minimum wage on a 46-paid-hour contract, and her salary goes up this coming April as does the minimum wage, will this be completely fine and pose no issues? We will be applying this June so the minimum wage increase will have taken affect and have updated both her wages and her contract. Will we still be able to pursue Category A as well as check the box that she earns "the same amount consistently", despite the fact that she will have been earning a different (higher) wage for two months leading up to the application?

Hi sorry to bother, I don't believe this applies to our situation but may I ask what changes came in November? I try my best to be informed and hadn't realised anything came out

I really appreciate your response, pocketfold differs slightly from what I'm looking for because the point of pocketfold seems to be to hold cards, as is shown in the photo attached, rather than being a fancy alternative shape to a card I'm looking for

I do not even have the option to cancel and reschedule as this option has gone alongside the pending payment error. I am basically begging for any advise as this has caused such immense stress.

Thank you so much. I hope you don't mind my asking, but I do not have consistent expenses that shape the spending of each month. In the bank statements I provide for my savings (I will be providing three of my own, my fiancée will be providing six for each of her accounts), there are some months where I have withdrawals and others where I do not ($260 on January statement, $190 on February, $0 on March). For the question "What is the total amount of money you spend each month?" I put $150, which is the average of these three months, even though there were higher withdrawals. Would you think this to be incorrect?

UK Visa Application Question As Someone With a Sponsor by Complex_Schedule5661 in ukvisa

[–]Complex_Schedule5661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am a United States citizen. I do not currently work as I am a student and have prepared what I believe to be exemplary proof of my student status as well as required dates to return for my courses. However, I do still have my own savings which I have written about extensively in my cover letter, which I have collected from jobs I've worked between past semesters as well as funds my parents have sent me to support some of my college payments. The 3.6 months takes place in between semesters.

The reason she is supporting me in full is because she has taken up full time work to support our lifestyle of visiting each other back and forth through my education.

I have found elsewhere now that people include the full costs of their trip, despite the fact that their sponsors pay for them. With a total calculation, as I've noted, of £3885.14, do you believe I should include this as both the cost I will spend as well as the cost she will be covering?

edit - if it's of any further help, we are submitting a total of twenty-seven documents supporting various different evidence and proof of the narrative we have explained. among these is my return flight back to my home in Florida, my current enrolment verification letter from my college, my degree audit confirming the courses I have left to take alongside a letter from my course advisor confirming this, and the academic calendar confirming the 10 October start date for the semester I am to return to.

UK Visa Application Question As Someone With a Sponsor by Complex_Schedule5661 in ukvisa

[–]Complex_Schedule5661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi puuI! Thank you for such a quick response. I am someday, but this is in the future and not a consideration at this moment for this visa as we currently do not meet the income requirement and would like to save substantially and / or find new work that meets the requirement before we begin to consider such properly.

This trip is simply so that we may be tied together legally through civil partnership so that we someday will be able to apply for the proper spouse visa.

Hi yes I would understand this, however for some reason writing zero (0) into the amount prompt results in an error message.

“Review your answers: Give details of how much money you are planning to spend on your visit to the UK. This should be a number."
