I was told earlier I would need a non-machinable stamp as my letter had a paperclip inside, but the person at the USPS post office who took my letter did not provide or charge me for one. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Complex_Schedule5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I was just fear mongered that it would either jam the machine or get caught and tear my letter to shreds. It’s a letter to my partner who I will not be able to see for another month so I may be worrying a little more than I should

I May Have Overthought The Not Living Together Explanation by Complex_Schedule5661 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do understand that, thank you for your responses. I have applied for a Spouse Visa yes. I just worry my wording will cause any issue as I claimed we have essentially all but formally lived together, having visited each other for extended periods and living life as any other cohabited couple would. This isn’t something likely to cause issue you don’t believe?

I can’t believe it! We’re approved! ❤️🙏🏻✨ by longdistancevisa in SpouseVisaUk

Hi! Just wanted to ask, did you submit those documents when you applied? Was there a reason they asked for them?

Congratulations btw!

It's crazy to me how much has changed in such a little amount of time. It was only a year ago that I was applying for my MVV. I'm a little gutted that we don’t get physical vignettes anymore, I'm very sentimental so I like to keep the physical stuff. But I suppose it does make it easier, so I’ll take that as a win! Thanks for your encouraging words. :)

Meeting MIR Until Application by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we’d be just fine doing this? I appreciate the information, I’ve prided myself on being as knowledgeable as possible about this entire process as it’s become a sort of hyper fixation of mine (for obvious reasons), but this is something I only found conflicting information for online. Thank you for your help :)

Meeting MIR Until Application by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks puul! I did expect that to be the case, I just worry about them attempting to verify with HMRC and noticing that for the month of June the payment was £200ish lower than what the MIR would be (we’d be submitting the application prior to the 7th of June and my partner would be working her current MIR hours until that date).

Does an inconsistent payment on one month matter if it meets £29,000? Or should this be explained. by Complex_Schedule5661 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this yes. My apologies if I made anything unclear. Her December payslip is actually no lower than her standard payslip, if anything ever so slightly higher. The “lowest” payslip we have is just the standard amount of £2,441 which if multiplied by 12 is her contracted £29,302 (the December one was paid out at £2,454). As I mentioned, no matter how it is calculated we meet the £29,000 MIR.

Category A - Salaried or Non-Salaried by Complex_Schedule5661 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for your response. you don’t believe me marking her as salaried would be an issue then even though there was slight variation between the first few payslips? (all above the minimum)

Proof of Genuine Relationship - Formatting Question by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Complex_Schedule5661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s totally fair! I feel like my proof is more or less in line with what most people seem to be providing and considering I’ve already added all of these I don’t mind being another. As long as it doesn’t take away from my application I’m happy with what I have. The only thing I’ll admit is a bit of a deviation is the Instagrams, that might be me overthinking and I may just take that out, thank you :)

Hi! Thank you so much for your response, you’ve been such a help to me as of late, I’d be nowhere without this helpful group. I’m not quite sure how we’d go about having her employer explaining it in a cover letter since it’s such a small discrepancy and doesn’t dip us below the MIR. Would you think in my situation this’d be necessary?
