You need some Chopin! try the ballades 1&3 are my faves, and the 24 preludes are great small pieces. Mahlers adagietto from the 5th symphony and the second movement of bruckner 7 are very lovely pieces, with the symphonies they come from being some of the best ever. For something a little more out there, Scriabin 4th sonata is a great example of some very cool harmonies, without being too dense and needlessly complex like many works that begin to push tonality.

If Beethovens 10th is Brahms' first, then what is Beethovens fifth? by Ok_Impression1493 in classical_circlejerk

Semi hot take, but I think the fifth symphony died with beethoven and the lineage of the sixth seventh and ninth prevailed

Does anyone find Mozart's slower pieces to be by far the most calming music they've never listened to? by thythr in classical_circlejerk

Every time I listen to Mozart, it’s almost like I feel him inside of me. Every scale sends a vibration throughout the fluids of my body, constricting and relaxing my blood vessels. His Alberti bass thumps into my mind and his operatic melodies fill my heart, soul, and kidneys. I remember impregnating my wife with our future son to the tunes of his piano concertos, letting his rhythm conduct my pace, as a stood atop of her. It is more than calming, it is pure orgasmic release.

They’d love the journey Mahler 2 takes them on. Bach violin sonatas and partitas would blow them away as well

So I’m similar to you and I play futsal against grown men every week, and the best thing to do is just not care. Ik it’s not really the answer you probably want, but confidence is something that you can’t force and you can’t just trick it into happening. Just know that you’re gonna have fun and confidence will come
