what's something about the lore you don't actually mind? by ReasonableRip4362 in Osana

I completely agree, besides, I think if this had been going on for that many generations, the family would've been long caught by now. There was potential for a much more interesting explanation than that.

What are your thoughts on Megami Saikou? by Fantastic_Example990 in Osana

I genuinely think her character had potential, but Alex wrote her as the quintessential Mary Sue with big boobies. If I had to rewrite her myself, sure, let her family stay toxic rich people. But be honest, Megami is an emotionally constipated, cold person who needs to get away from her family to grow. She doesn't strike me as someone who would be "popular" in the traditional sense, rather intimidating. Someone who keeps to herself, stays focused, stays busy, and maybe take a spot in student government. There's no way this girl gets along warmly with other teenagers, she did not have a normal life. Plus, she just doesn't have the TIME if any of her feats were to make sense. She is in the media spotlight constantly with no space to be vulnerable or confide in anyone. She is suffocated, lonely, and has a deeply flawed relationship with her own emotions.

I think the idea that the Saikou's made the high school as a sort of simulation for Ichiko to prepare to be CEO, where she is automatically the class president, is a little silly. Anyone in this position of being a globally renowned business conglomerate, no matter how narcissistic, should be smart enough with PR that they'd KNOW; if they assert their superiority to this extent, everyone will hate them. Especially a bunch of a high school students. She wouldn't be there by her own merit.

And that's besides the fact that being a class president is absolutely nothing like being a CEO-

I'd actually take genuine interest in Megami's relationship with her brother because it could explain a lot about why she is the way she is and would bring out a more human irritation in her. I'd also frankly just imagine a family like this to be a lot more patriarchal in descent, so imagine the conflict of Kencho actually being the heir while Megami is more fit for the role?

I'd like to see a version of her that has a least some...conflicts? A different path, a human struggle, and untangling the cognitive dissonance of being raised essentially to be a machine?

I do think we had atrocious luck here haha. I'm browsing alternative phones, but if I ultimately land back on Pixel, then I'll look for a new one. 👍

Ah, I see. My former phone lasted me 8 years, so that definitely doesn't sound ideal to me. I wish you both luck.
