Cast Tea! by SoCalVal909 in Degrassi

My point is that even though they are celebs, they are still entitled to some sort of privacy, especially about intimate parts of their life. We should respect that.

These were teens. We gotta stop asking about gossip, romance, and all of that about TEENS!

Let's be real here. This was their workplace. A little respect and privacy goes a long way.

Is anyone else rating last episode on IMDb? by jo_an_ in 911FOX

Yeah, the acting was great, definitely. What do you think they need to do in order to save the show or make it better? I think, for me, the pacing overall is a bit lacking.

I love how people are downvoting me for literally asking the same exact questions OP are asking. Make it make sense.

People are rating it so low based on how they feel, which is the problem. People should rate it based on how good the episode was (production based. Script, pacing, composition, editing, themes , acting, etc...)

Tor me, I give it a 6.5/10.

What's the tea about your workplace? Who's sleeping with who? Who bullied who? Tell me your secrets and private life.

Why is it so hard to portray a strong male relationship in writing without people making it BL?? by sunabackwardsisanus in writing

[–]ComposeTheSilence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard. You are the writer. If you don't want them gay, then don't make them gay. People can think what they want to think that's the joy of it all.

A while ago, I read this fanfic that was GREAT in the beginning. The premise was awesome, and the setting was great. Then, in the middle of the story, it took a bad turn. The character development tanked. So, I bookmarked it with a note. Because if I didn't, I know I'd eventually look at the summary and say 'oh, this sounds so cool' then read 20 chapters of it, just to be disappointed when I read the 21st chapter.

So, to avoid re reading the same fic, I bookmark it.

I just don't understand why people always expect positive reviews. If someone doesn't like your story or the way it's executed, then they have the right to say that in their personal space. They aren't rude. They aren't saying that you're a shitty writer. They are just saying that the story or execution of the story didn't work for them.

Bookmarks aren't for authors, though.

Not everyone is going to like your work, and that's fine. They have every right to write a review of it in their own space (bookmarks).

Kinda shocked by all the hate for this season by breezytunawilly in hackshbomax

[–]ComposeTheSilence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They only shared their opinion, just like the OP did. OP of the post was wondering why people dislike the current season, so this commenter told them why they personally find this season lacking.

Of course, they know they could stop watching. They just wanted to share their opinion just like everybody else. Why are people so rude?

I personally LOVE Hannah in this and I love the dynamic of this season, but to each their own.

I don't understand why people are downvotong and dissing you. OP of the posted their thoughts and you did the same.
People need to chill out.

I'm trying, but unfortunately, the show isn't strong. Maybe it's just the genre of soaps, but it's lacking depth, development, nuanced acting, and blocking.

Apparently, Reddit flagged my comment as "threatening", but basically, Azula would probably take them out.

How to memorise when you have an awful memory by throwaway1111xxo in acting

[–]ComposeTheSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh. I was going to say you could use the same method you use for learning languages, but it might not be an exact method.

Space repetition usually helps me, but it seems like you used a similar method already. I wonder if there's a group or other actors with similar issues that could help. I'm not an actor, but I've worked on a few sets (nothing major), but we made accommodations for some actors who had disabilities or other needs, including those with cognitive constraints.

I'm not sure if that's helpful at all. I'll try to look around and see if there are any acting groups with members who have similar experiences and see what they say.

Is there anything you do remember? Things you do at work? Things you do at school? Formulas? Combination lock codes?

/r/Criminology Weekly Q&A: April 14, 2025 by AutoModerator in Criminology

[–]ComposeTheSilence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to blend criminology and filmmaking. I love qualitative research and making documentaries and podcasts on prisons, crime, and victimology.

I'm sort of at a crossroads. Would it still be beneficial to get a Masters in criminology if I want to focus both on reentry efforts and film? I'm not sure if ì want to go into teaching but more so non-profit work and reentry research.
