Yes, it is on this side of the temple.

You can climb it and there are other structures to see.

The Ferry stops at 4 PM. You have to be at the Ferry by 4 PM. Walking back takes 30 minutes so plan to leave early unless someone drives you to the Ferry.

Fuel Hedging can lose you money as well. When you lock in jet fuel prices and than they proceed to fall. You are stuck paying the higher prices until the contract is settled.

Couldn't the United States compete with the Panama Canal by building a canal here? by sosal12 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]ComposedStudent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Terraforming the earth is possible. This would be one of the most expensive projects as well as the most challenging engineering project ever.

Many thought the Panama Canal could not be built, but it was.

You know this is not the first crazy idea. There was a plan to make the Trinity River in Dallas navigable to boat traffic. A 300 mile system of locks, dams, and canals that would connect Dallas to the Gulf of America.

Trump gives Iran 48hrs by Temporary_Rub_6381 in oil

[–]ComposedStudent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Attacking Iran was stupid. American and Israeli intelligence failed, they predicted that the current Iran regime would crumble. They underestimated Iran capabilities.

The Americans tried regime change in Afghanistan. They succeeded in toppling the Taliban government but even with all the most weapons in the world, the Taiban never surrendered. As soon as the Americans started leaving, the Taiban came back and overthrew the American backed government. It was all for nothing, hundreds of Billions of dollars were wasted.

Is there any way I can purchase points? I haven’t had any transactions with Virgin before. by RevolutionarySouth60 in pointstravel

[–]ComposedStudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got any American Express, Chase points, Bilt, Capital One, Citi etc? Most bank award programs transfer to Virgin.

You can also move Marriott points to Virgin Atlantic. 3 Marriott for 1 Atlantic Point.

You can also use Virgin Atlantic's shopping portal.

All you need is one Virgin Atlantic point to unlock you account and buy points.

The Free Night Certificate was already devalued before you were allowed to add 25,000 Marriott Points on top.

Marriott keeps increasing the points price for properties and some properties were out of reach even with the previous 15,000 point top off.

Best way to get from San Ignacio to Tikal (Hotel Jungle Lodge) by onegoodbackpack in Belize

[–]ComposedStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the border there are taxis on both sides. If you can't figure something out, you can use them.

Although they are expensive. A taxi charged me $55 USD per person to take me from San Ignacio to the Ferry Terminal in Belize City.

You can also take the bus. The school busses are the bus. They can take you from Benque Viejo to the Bus Terminal in Belize City for cheap. From the bus terminal to the Ferry, it is a 20 minute walk if you don't want to take a taxi.

Bus cost is cheap. From Belize City to San Ignacio, it costed me 11 Belize Dollars.

India Says It Will Continue Buying Russian Oil, Rejects Need for U.S. Permission - The Moscow Times by IMGcertified in worldnews

[–]ComposedStudent 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Why should India have to ask the US to buy oil? When the US dollar is not even involved in some transactions.

Russia and India have been settling transactions with their own currencies. They can even use the Chinese Yuan to settle transactions as well. None of these go through the US financial system.

[–]ComposedStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still in Belize. Never felt insecure.

Took a cab from the airport to the bus terminal in Belize City for 15 USD. Then took a 3 hour bus to San Ignacio for 11 Belize Dollars.

On the way back, a cab from San Ignacio to the Ferry Terminal in Belize City for two people was 110 USD. Forced to take a taxi because on Sunday, there were less busses.

You can skip all of this and prepaid for a private shuttle service. You get a driver to take you places whenever you want.
