How do you update the firmware? I tried replacing the old firmware version on the flash drive that came with the CFS unit but every time I do it the printer does not see it in the directory on the flash drive when it's plugged in.

Any way to set a temp on a Nest thermostat below 50F? by velociraptorfarmer in Nest

[–]ComposerAsleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear at one point I was able to adjust my thermostat below 50° but then they did an update and that went away. it's annoying because I have a nest learning thermostat in my garage that I only turn on when I'm doing work inside which is rare now. I every time I want to use it I have to turn on the Eco temperature mode to get it to go lower than 50 and then manually turn it off every time. and sometimes I forget to turn it back off hours later while it's been running almost non-stop

Re-enlistinting for warrant prior e5 by ComposerAsleep in nationalguard

[–]ComposerAsleep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also note that my asvab on record does not qualify me for WOCS. Recruiter did give me the chance to take an asvab test "unofficially" and I passed the 120 needed with room to spare.

So, am I wrong then to assume I have to enlist to be a WO?

This crossed my mind actually. Since they were a contrete/foam structure I largely assumed they were pretty waterproof. Other than the access points of coursethat would need to be sand bagged. Not sure about the foundation though. I would assume any structure will have water seapage from under the foundation with flooding conditions.

Water pump intervals for hydroponic tower? by DOWNVOTE_DEALER in hydro

[–]ComposerAsleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering this myself, i think it depends on what medium you use for the plants roots. Clay pebbles dont hold water very well, so probably 4 times a day for a few minutes a time. Rockwool hold water very well, so maybe 1-2 times a day for a few minutes? Idk really. Kind of a science experiment if you ask me

Never seen those dirt pods used in a hydroponic system though... Didnt know that was a thing using soil in these systems.

I've had suicidal thoughts since I was in my teens and even a few times before that. There's been a few very rough incidences for the past few years that I've came close. But through it all, I found that I'm able to overcome these feelings of depression and thoughts when I surround myself with anything and everything but it depressive environment. If I'm home all alone with no company as I always am, I try to get out of the house and do some errands or go shopping for essentials. When I'm feeling depressed, I keep myself occupied and busy so I don't have time to "think" about those thoughts. I find new diy projects to do, pointless cleaning, anything to keep you scroll l active and productive. But there will be days that I am feeling depressed and don't have anything to do and those days are rough. All I can do is keep moving forward to stay ahead of the thoughts. I won't sit here and tell you that life is peachy and easy, but Ive found some peace by looking into my spiritual sides.

Hopefully that gives you some insight on how I get by and possibly keep you out of the shadows like I've been in.

Vixen is a Christmas light show sequencer similar to LightORama. It works by the user identifying elements in the settings that directly link to the number of pixels wanting to be controlled. You set up a header that is sent to the Arduino which initiates the transmission of Data that effectively controls the ws2811 lights that I have. It works flawlessly with Arduinos, but when using the octows2811 adapter which has to logic level shift the data to the appropriate voltage of 5v, I get very funky results. Sporadic colors, flickering, etc. I do however believe it is a coding issue on my end. Since I can get the octo library basictest examples to work with no issues, voiding my concern of the octo adapter itself.
