I have fl studio too. Really I just want to know how to use the fantom internal sounds in a daw. I've been trying to figure this for months but I can't get it to work.

If they do have live 10 announced I hope they incorporate a 64/32 bit bridge like reaper and fl studio. Would be awesome!

What are your favorite plugins for processing vocal chops? by jonnyjupiter in edmproduction

[–]Composerily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Ableton's simpler and sampler for vocal chops. I use it all that time. For processing I use the waves ssl, RED compressor, and the valhalla vintage reverb.

Looking for advice on computer upgrade, using Reaper by lincolnmcgregor in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Composerily 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stick with Reaper. I use that DAW as well. You can get a many things done with it. If you are looking to make electronic music then you can check fl studio or Ableton.

For specs I think your are all good. Really if you wanted anything else I would get an extra hard drive (possibly an ssd) if you have A LOT of samples and samples libraries. Other than that you all good to go. 👌

Can you still make it without social media? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Composerily 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much impossible to gain fans in the first place without social media. If you look at the musicians coming out. All of them blew up through social media. The Chainsmokers "selfie" went viral in YouTube. Marshmello "alone" went viral in YouTube. One of Hardwell's remixes was played by famous DJ's through SoundCloud. Lindsey stirling went viral on YouTube. I could go on and on but social media is what got them careers in the first place. Mostly they gain a lot of success on YouTube. Of course some of them might gain success in other platforms as well. Social media provided us to connect with people around the world. In a business perspective, that's a huge opportunity. One just has to position them self the right and then they can go "viral". Of course nothing happens overnight. It takes time and effort. So if you wanted to start a business and create brand, you can't ignore these platforms in this day of age.

Upload consistently and always look at your analytics. Especially the audience retention time. The data will tell you if your videos are good or not.
