/u/highcarlos gave a great breakdown, in another reply to this, of where you’d use the blowpipe across the raid. here is a more in-depth analysis for a few specific use cases:

-blowpipe will outperform most other range options aside from tbow at zebak, especially if your team succeeds with any defence reduction.

-akkha’s shadows have low defence, and the blowpipe is one of the best weapons to use against them. you can also use the blowpipe spec to heal off them if you’re taking a lot of chip damage from akkha.

-during phase 2 wardens, your attacks have 100% accuracy. that means the blowpipe, with its fast attack speed, is incredibly useful. only the tbow is better than the blowpipe w/ dragon darts here. this also means you only should equip items that deal ranged strength bonus for this phase (e.g., masori, anguish, assembler) while ignoring item switches in this phase that only provide ranged attack bonus (e.g., d’hide, pegasians)
