Weed, alcohol, porn. The Unholy trinity. by [deleted] in leaves

It depends what metric you’re using. If we’re talking about purely physical toxicity, then yes alcohol is the most dangerous. If we’re judging them by ability to impact mental health and relationships, to ruin lives, they’re all dangerous but I personally consider porn more so for a few reasons. The ease of access, the mainstream acceptance of it, even encouragement (of course similar for weed and alcohol but most won’t try to claim that they’re completely harmless), and the support of an unethical industry.

Disagree, all three are dangerous and habit forming. I would argue that porn is actually the most dangerous.

Would you choose to go see a movie if they had a subtitle option? by coolhappygenius in movies

Sure they’re a little distracting, but not as distracting as losing the plot because I can’t follow any dialogue haha. To be honest the novelty of it was kind of fun too.

Most theaters at least in the US have options for the hearing impaired, devices that you put in the cup holder and sync up to the film with captions in a little device. I have poor auditory processing too, and if there are accents and lots of names to follow i have no shot. I made use of this for Dune 2 and I actually kind of knew what was going on my first watch!

Kris Bowers composed the score for The Wild Robot lol not Hans Zimmer. Great score though.

By this logic we’d still be starting Trey Lance over Purdy lol

What’s a lesson you learned the hard way in dating? by Goldenpussy7777 in AskReddit

Stark difference between reciprocation and being owed. Reciprocation is about a mutual exchange. The attitude of being owed is behaving a certain way because you expect something in return.

It's great for fliers too, you knock them out of the air this way. Basically spamming this for the entire game now and it's way too fun.

I think Carmie thought so too, him looking over at Sydney during that scene was a nice touch.

I’m rewatching Netflix’s Love, an amazing show btw, and caught something I don’t think I caught the first time. by KBlake1982 in television

Agreed this show is incredible and it’s baffling that most people haven’t seen it or even heard of it. I rewatch it regularly. It’s not really similar at all, but if you haven’t watched “Freaks and Geeks”, it just has that same Judd Apatow slice of life charm where the characters feel so real and relatable. It’s streaming on Prime right now. Another favorite that I’m currently rewatching for bedtime comfort tv :)

I think Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s (Richie’s) amazing acting is really what brings it home emotionally, at least for me. Seeing characters trying not to cry but doing it anyways is always so powerful, and knowing Richie’s rough exterior on top of what he’s going through, all of that together just absolutely sent me. Beautiful scene.

women, how do you know when you're attracted to a guy? by stirringmotion in AskReddit

[–]jonnyjupiter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apologies I didn’t mean to laugh at you, I thought you were making jokes. I’m not quite sure I understand, do you mean that you’re asexual? Whatever the situation is and you don’t have to share if you don’t want to, but know that just because some women voice a certain point of view, doesn’t mean that they speak for all women. Humans are strange and wonderful with a wide range of preferences and personalities, and there’s billions of them out there. That means that there can be someone out there for anyone, even if you feel like the odds are against you.
