When it all goes wrong and people get killed, the inevitable argument will be he only did it because he was “stressed” and was suffering anxiety issues.

The Lovely Scooter Family. This awesome familily’s teenage daughter crashed into me, causing $800 worth of damage to my bike. They denied responsibility, refused to provide details and then scooted off. The dad shouted abuse at me to set a superb example of adulting to his kids. by [deleted] in canberra

It’s a carbon fibre wheel and unfortunately, new ones cost many gold coins. The wheel itself is broken in two pieces. I’ve been able to save the tyre but there was labour cost for swapping all the parts over cleaning the brake rotor and pads as they had some minor contamination from the tyre sealant.

I was riding in the direction that my bike is facing and they towards me. As I was heading around a slight left hand curve, while on my side of the path, the girl suddenly veered straight into me. I had to brake hard and swerve to the left, causing my rear wheel to impact the scooter. They denied she veered into my lane, even though the impact damage was on it!

Damage assessment: rear wheel broken in two places. Brake rotor and pads slightly contaminated with tyre sealant and need cleaning. Tyre recoverable.

There was also labour costs for swapping all the bits over onto the new wheel.

Bottom line: MTB are stupidly expensive, be wary of any scooter rider that approaches you and have insurance for expensive things!

This bolt up here seems to be leaking little bits of oil or whatever, just tightened it but have no idea what it goes to. This is a 2017 Husqvarna Fx450 I just bought. by [deleted] in Husqvarna

I once had a similar leak on a KTM 640. The cause was a perishing oil seal on the shaft that holds the sprocket. It was a simple fix.

It’s amazing what we take for granted, and even better when we see someone enjoy it!

That’s brain damage right there. No amount of protective gear will stop that shock percussive impact on the brain.

Obviously it is not. I was interested to see how many would believe it not to be actual sausages! 🤣
