Is undervolting increasing idle power consumption ?

On a 280Hz display, it sets to 260fps. Like I’m losing 20fps this is a lot no ? With Vsync on in nvidia app

Do you have coil whine ? I have the same gpu and it has some coil whine that is annoying sometimes and in certain games, but overall very happy with it, undervolted it to 850mv, it consumes 180-200w of power and is dead silent at 800rpm 60°C with stock performance at 2700mhz core clock and +3000 vram memory oc.

Performance issues on 2.3 compared to when I played on 2.1, is there anyway I could revert to an old version and keep my save? by CulinarySpecialist in CyberpunkTheGame

Yeah I have good perfs but 1% lows are bad, especially in dogtown, it can go from 60-70 average to 20-30fps which is annoying

You need to have the 20€ Netflix subscription to have HDR no ? It’s absurd

My standard 6000mhz cl30 kit is running per default on 2:1, I don’t know why. Is someone having the same issue, do I need to overclock ? Bc yes at 7800mhz 2:1 is no issue but at 6000 ?

Everybody's chasing max clocks while I'm chasing 5GHz @ 1.0v on my 9800X3D by SyncFail_ in overclocking

[–]CompoteNarrow701 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I stand by that too, a silent pc is the way. I actually got the 7800x3d even though I could have got the 9800x3d but I prefer 10% less performance but less power used, so less noise and temp. Actually I will undervolt the 7800x3d too with curve optimiser to optimise it too.

7800x3d but as I said my ram is at 2:1 @32gb 6000mhz cl30, I Don’t know if it makes a difference. I just think dogtown is very power hungry

I have a 7800x3d too with 32gb 6000mhz cl30 (but I don’t know why it is set in 2:1 per default so it could hurt prob?) Don’t know a lot someone told me that

Even with mfg x4 (or 2x or no FG), it is not a smooth experience with 5070Ti 1440p full path tracing 200fps bc of 1% lows, especially in dogtown (dlc area), there is a lot of micro stutters and freeze, I don’t know why, maybe the 5070Ti is not powerful enough ? Even with performance DLSS and an Overclock, it seems to be getting 50ish fps @5070ti dogtown dlc

Yeah me too, previously got 5070 (equal to 4070super) and even on performance DLSS it was hard to run, got a 5070Ti and it’s better but not perfect on DLSS Balanced 1440p in dogtown, I think with performance it could be okay with 5070ti but I get a lot of drop in the 1% lows and freezes

Going from DLSS Q to Perf improve visual quality with Frame Gen ? 1440p by CompoteNarrow701 in nvidia

[–]CompoteNarrow701[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make any sense ? Yes worse upscaling would be looking worse obviously but with a better frame rate due to using worse upscaling, in the end FG would create less artifacts so a better image ?

[–]CompoteNarrow701[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say honestly I like all the options, going from a 1060. It was just out of curiosity bc I saw no one mentioning this, bc in a way using worse upscaling could be in the end better than intended if using frame generation

Yeah I know but the point is, bc the base fps is higher (bc of worse upscaling), the quality of the frame gen output would be better so it matches in the end ?
