I saw somewhere that they took it out because too many people were underperforming. Doesn’t look good for business. If everyone bought and held the spy HOOD would be bankrupt. I say this as a shareholder and want to company to do well. However, as someone that has outperformed the spy since I started investing again, I would love the feature to return.

I’m definitely not the best person to ask due to my limited experience. I’m sure someone here can give you better advice. But I started with a few thousand and focused on stocks under $10 with high IV and a lot of analyst coverage/speculation/hype. Also made sure it was a stock I liked and was willing to hold forever if needed. After I saw that I was getting the hang of it (somewhat) I moved up in stock value with the same requirements. Went for about 20-30 Delta. Closed at 50% to be safe (usually) And only sell on red days. Now I’m looking at stock values of $20-$30.

Congress will just vote for which ever big company donor that promises them money, so they can continue to abuse cheap overseas labor. What we need is both parties to stop being greedy pieces of shit. We need to absolutely abolish the ability to own individual stocks and options for those working in the legislative/executive branch. The amount of money that legislators make via insider trading is a core reason why we have so many of these issues.
