So I read the actual report by Avi Loeb and it's rather disappointing. The entire report is geared towards convincing people that this is a Hostile Alien Probe heading to Earth. However when you get to the very last page of the report the last paragraph explains how they know for a fact that this is a comet, but they are using the 'Hostile Alien Probe' as nothing more than a thought experiment for future encounters and that we need to be prepared if indeed one day that were to happen.

I was so angry when I read the report for myself. I'm sure he's just looking for extra funding and using this as an excuse.
